Why Are Black Preachers So Anti-Gun?

Most pastors I've seen on the net are preaching to their congregations with heavy emphasis on black folks staying away from guns.

On some "put down that .45 and pick up that good book" type shyt





This fool even admits the majority of black people who give up their guns will be good people but he hopes one bad person will find it in their hearts to give up their guns.. :erniee:


I would have no problem with this if on the other side of the Christianity fence the white preachers were teaching the same thing but they are NOT.

It just seems like black Christian leaders are foolishly disarming black people out of hope that the bad ones will stop using guns in crimes.

They aren't accomplishing anything but making the black community weaker.

Their belief is their first line of defense, that's all. Any problems that they would have, their belief will handle it, they don't to have to do anything.

I think it's used to control poorer people, poorer people are vulnerable. Obviously centuries ago it was used to control slaves, their lives were highly stressful and it sucked, so the book is used to cheer them up. "Just work hard and trust God and heaven will totally be better, I promise."

In the end, its all bullshyt. However, lets be 100%, the "turn the other cheek" shyt covers everything from societal oppression to intraracial violence, so at least in the latter's case it makes sense, seeing as how black churches are no stranger to sermons on killings within the community.

People shouldnt feel guilty about strapping up. This coming from me, a guy who doesnt like guns at all.

Yeah, i think of preachers as smoke. Smoke in a bee hive disorients and confuse the bees which makes it easier for beekeepers to control and harvest their honey.

Another thing people don't talk or know about (besides the preacher man of course) is the federal funding these churches get from the Faith Based Initiative. These black preachers are bought and paid for, they don't even speak out about racism too hard, they stick to black on black crime.
