Why are cars made to go up to 140 mph if you can't legally go over 90???

Vehicle-related deaths consistently outnumber gun-related deaths in America.....but we need gun control!

shyt, put a regulator on cars so you can't drive over 85. It's not legal anywhere in America to drive faster anyway. That aint gonna happen though.

Just because it has 140 on the dash doesn't mean its that fast. The new altimas show 160 on the dash :laff: at nikkas thinking their 2.5 litre 4 cylinder with hubcaps will push 160
Ive easily done 130 in my Altima when I was bored and curious if I could get to 160. I ended up slowing down because the upcoming road was bumpy. Im sure it would have gotten to 160 without issue.
I doubt I will ever go that fast again tho.

Purely for the aftermath of August 21st 2017...at least for those of us lucky enough to still have a car at that point :sadcam:. Gotta be fast to get the closest shoreline where large aircraft carrier ships wait with limited space for regular civilians...

The answer is simple, capitalism.

They market these cars based on its engines

Image them even attempting to market a porsche, the latest Nissan, ferrari or any other car with the 'latest technology' if every single one had a top speed of 70 MPH.

The only cars exempt from this argument is the swaggerless joints like

that probably make hamster sounds like meep, meep:hamster:
