Why are "CONSCIOUS" black men so difficult to be around/be friends with?

I consider myself to be awake, I'm very aware of manipulation thru marketing and advertising...
I understand conditioning, I understand that we live in a nation that practices low key white supremacy.
Yet I simply cannot deal with, have friendly associations with a 95% of those who consider themselves socially conscious, who have knowledge of self, pro-black whatever you want to call it...

You can't have a friendly conversation with these brothers...
It's like all they know is conspiracy theory chatter...

It's half the reason we can't come together...
Dudes are one dimension and repulsive in conversation...

Norfeast groovin…
lol, I work at an Afrocentric bookstore part time so I see people like this from time to time. Don't think nothin of it, there are levels to this shyt so you should concern yourself with what level you're on rather than how brand new someone acts when they gain some knowledge of self.

If you don't wan't to listen to what these brothers have to say about the Jews don't expect the conditions in the ghetto to improve.
And you're so crazy you just mentioned the jews out of no where?
Let me guess that's all you think and talk about 24/7?

They also are really fukking sensitive and will start sulking every time they see a black person doing something ignorant.

I had to put some "conscious" black people on this site on ignore because all they do is sulk and moan about the black community online while not lifting a fukking finger to help out in real life.

You are spot on.

It's like all they do is complain and complain

There's never any fun in a situation.

I consider myself a conscious brother but there are a lot of militants who have no fukking clue WTF they are even talking about and are militant simply to "hate white people" and self-segregate. They are militant out of a sense of low self esteem.
:wow:

I am conscious so I can help the african american community with knowledge, self esteem, a love of learning/reading, family values, moral support, financial resources/literacy and opportunities. This in turn helps me to have the boots on the ground and support to go up against systemic discrimination at the top tier levels which works tirelessly to try and exclude minorities and shuffle them into the school to prison pipeline. I work with white people to help educate them so they can pass it on while some white people are bigger anti-racist than me. They despise racism as well and it's important for some black conscious people to recognize that. Yes, it's our battle but we do need allies. Some of them need to recognize that there are a lot of non-african americans who want to see black people prosper despite the racist idiots who are doing everything in their power to stop that. My white friends, asian friends, hispanic friends, Tim Wise and people like them have helped to get me to where I am today.

There is another side to the conscious movement. These people have NO LIVES whatsoever outside of blaming white people. They do not have a career/profession, they are poorly educated, trashy, some of them sit around and do drugs, fatherless babies out the ass, they are cheap and want white people to take care of them for the rest of the lives as payback for slavery. These aren't black people crippled by rural poverty but lower middle class black people who whine and contribute nothing towards helping the black community or tackling systemic racism in any tangible sense.

I am not one of those people. :manny: I want society to grant black people the same opportunities to succeed while recognizing it's past as to why so many minorities are in poverty. White privilege has made it nearly impossible for a lot of minorities to reach the upper echelon. I want to see black entrepreneurs, black scientist, black doctors, black business owners, black authors, black philosophers so people can see black people can do more than simply play sports, rap or sling drugs. I am tired of seeing African immigrants take advantage of these positions with little connection to the black community when a lot of programs are meant for black americans while some african immigrants will talk shyt and degrade black people along with racist. They weren't the ones who had to suffer the rights to have those privileges and they are the LAST ones who will help the black community at large. Some of them do help as best they can, my Nigerian roommate in college was more conscious than a lot of other Africans but by large, a lot of them do not do shyt for the black community.

I have a female friend over Facebook who is the loud angry black feminist conscious type. She even walked in the store and trashed the display stands and threw a temper tantrum talking about how she "scared this dumb white bytch" just for attention whoring purposes. Notice that this does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the black community. This doesn't address housing discrimination, illegal hiring practices, poverty issues, etc. She was just a black feminist attention whoring.

I think since we don't have a plan as a whole to focus our energy on positively, we end up doing the easy thing, which is complaining about what's happening. We still have to connect with everybody and talk it out though... maybe some brilliant ideas will come out of our bytching one day

also, yall that like to throw around that 'smart dumb nikka' shyt need to stop. That doesn't help anything

some people are new to it and get excited.. that conspiracy theory frequency is dangerous tho it can take people deep into the negative..

anyone truly 'conscious' would understand that feeling shyt over the world situation isnt gonna help.. we are essentially avatars living in a world we've created, so to disconnect from it is to not take life so personally i suppose.. the most conscious people i know are always happy while your average joe's complaining about bills girls or whatever

Just admit you're not really down for the liberation of the condition of our people. That would help when dealing with truly conscious blacks.

Black Consciousness is a fad, and the one's who want to escape its reality more often then not, aren't gonna share that type of dedication to any particular cause. And if you approach a conscious brother with that sentiment, he should understand immediately, and just keep it moving.
