Just admit you're not really down for the liberation of the condition of our people. That would help when dealing with truly conscious blacks.

Black Consciousness is a fad, and the one's who want to escape its reality more often then not, aren't gonna share that type of dedication to any particular cause. And if you approach a conscious brother with that sentiment, he should understand immediately, and just keep it moving.
Its not a fad

I truly believe that we can build up our own homogeneous societies

Also there are two camps as well. There are those who want to assimilate and prosper along with everyone else while there is another camp that is all about a separate black community.

I believe in the phrase "assimilate(this does NOT mean capitulate) to dominate" similar to how Jews assimilated as a means to an end. It's not blind assimilation like some Asians do with no concern for fighting discrimination. It is a carefully calculated menuever to gain addition resources and manpower to fight inequality at the top tier levels where it really matters. This doesn't mean abandoning your black heritage but not letting it be a roadblock to chopping up game with other ethnicities. Its assimilation to a means for fighting for our rights ala W.E.B. Dubois instead of c00ning and placating white supremacy like Booker T. Washington did by joining a permanent black underclass.

With a global economy, a black separate community just wouldn't be very feasible as a dominant culture for black people. It's important that we have it but it's not going to be the cure all that is has been hailed as. It's going to further alienate us and water down our standards. W.E.B. Dubois knew we had to have full integration AND full rights. Black people have to be COMPETITIVE and at the cutting edge of competition.

I consider myself to be awake, I'm very aware of manipulation thru marketing and advertising...
I understand conditioning, I understand that we live in a nation that practices low key white supremacy.
Yet I simply cannot deal with, have friendly associations with a 95% of those who consider themselves socially conscious, who have knowledge of self, pro-black whatever you want to call it...
You can't have a friendly conversation with these brothers...
It's like all they know is conspiracy theory chatter...
It's half the reason we can't come together...
Dudes are one dimension and repulsive in conversation...
(1) It is NOT a black thing, and you are not the only person who feels that way...I had to DUMB myself down because I realized the average human being is like you, they would rather not engage in any intelligent conversation regarding controversial topics e.g. sociology, psychology, religion, racism/ethnocentrism, sexuality and etc...

If make a stereotypical joke about a certain group, people may laugh (with they don't have tight personalities) but if you want to discuss the underlying racism/ethnocentrism that make these jokes funny, you will get the :whoa: with a quickness...

For example, I work with 95% women, and they have no problems making jokes comparing semen to yogurt and shyt like that, but when you try to have an intellectual conversation regarding the sociology and psychology of love and sex, then you get the :whoa:

This is not to insult you or disrespect you...It is just the way it is...You will go further with people, ESPECIALLY women, if you just clown around and keep it light...

(2) Part of the reason you can't have friendly conversation with these brothers is because you may be sensitive and take things personal...I know these types of brothers, they say anything and everything, and sometimes they just straight up defecate on your belief system...So, if you are very sensitive about what you believe and expect people to "respect" what you believe, then it makes it difficult to interact with the so called "conscious" brothers/people...

In conclusion,
People in general don't like conversations involving politics, religion, sex, race/ethnicity i.e. Heavy Topics...It is even WORSE when the other person doesn't share your belief system...

It is has nothing to do with race...I am a controversial person, so I enjoy conversations with Black Africans and Eastern Europeans more than any other races or ethnicities...I find that I can argue all day with these groups (relative to other groups) and they don't take it personally...

I remember having an argument with a Christian Nigerian colleague, and it was loud and I was being harsh against Christianity, and we were laughing at some of the ridiculous illogical arguments we were both making, there was a white Canadian woman in the room with us, and she started crying and saying "stop, why can't we just get along?"

And me and my friend just looked at her like :stopitslime: We are just two friends having a discussion, there is NO beef, and no disrespect intended...

Many brilliant people have few friends (unless their billiance is centred around social skill). They instead etnd to expend most of their energies into their ideas. I'm not saying every intellectual-leaning person is brilliant or even smarter than average, but most people who have an obsession with intellectual endeavors tend to be smarter than average, if only because it takes extra horse power to stomach processing and analyzing dense, confounding and deep material. The zeal and intensity which intellectuals--including many conscious black men--often display is disconcerting to the average person, who is more accustomed to more monotone subjects and scrutiny. This seems to be the case with conscous black men at times. But it's similarly the case with great minds like Oppenheimer, Watson, Beethoven, etc/

I have a female friend over Facebook who is the loud angry black feminist conscious type. She even walked in the store and trashed the display stands and threw a temper tantrum talking about how she "scared this dumb white bytch" just for attention whoring purposes. Notice that this does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the black community. This doesn't address housing discrimination, illegal hiring practices, poverty issues, etc. She was just a black feminist attention whoring.

Many people regardless of race or gender can have knowledge but they have no wisdom which is the ability to apply the knowledge at the proper time

Your daughters birthday party is not the time to break down racism in the prison industrial complex is what I'm saying lol

But I've talked to know it all socialist white guys who are equally as annoying so

Regardless having conversations on political things is at least a step in the right direction better than wasting your brain cells on bullshyt in them streets

You know what else is pretty ironic about "conscious" blacks? They view black people as a whole the same way racist whites do in broads stereotypes. They judge our race by the absolute worst and then catch feelings when whites do the same.

They also put other non-black races on pedestals...Especially Asians and Indians. They think higher of Asians and Indians than those groups themselves do. It makes me want to fukking barf.

I dont view other blacks like the whites do. I look at people who arent like me with envy. I wish I can believe all is well. I wish I had the energy to say we are all In this together. Read my post above. Its a war going on and folks dont even want to acknowledge the carnage and carcasses. I wish I can be naive.

It's like all they know is conspiracy theory chatter...

Personally I wouldn’t associate endless so-called conspiracy talk with a person who is an ACTUALLY conscious individual. :yeshrug:

In regards to those people who endlessly chatter about conspiracy subjects and so on, your difficulty with them is understandable. But hey, as someone already said… They may be noobies to the conspiracy field and desire to share it. Their endless talk about it may be testimony to their fear and uncertainty about the knowledge they have and a wish to connect and “vibe.” (You know how it is when you come upon something new and shocking at times)

Now in regards to ACTUALLY conscious black men…..
I question whether it is a matter of conscious “black men” or simply a matter of conscious people (be they women, child or man – white, black, brown, orange or red). I say that cause I see that most people find those who are ACTUALLY conscious irrespective of how they look to be difficult to deal with, talk to, interact with etc.

Now why is that, right? Why is it that those people whom are so-called conscious (leaving aside conspiracy chatterers) irritating? Is it that some people feel themselves to be so superficial they simply can’t intellectually relate to the subjects conscious ones do? Or Is it because some people find it unpleasant to get “deep” about anything substantial? Perhaps they are frightened to do so, for they may become psychologicaly “shaken” which may provoke them to change? And we all know above all else, human beings desire predictability, steadiness and consistency. So the thought of a possible change comes as a terrifying shock. It is as if dying to some people, they just won’t have it. They like to be secure and cling to their point of views, beliefs and life structure with no disturbances. Therefore anyone threatening to shake them up in any way to reevaluate what they cling to so dearly, is seen as a nuisance, a source of trouble or irritation. They don’t like to be around that. The answer to why conscious people are difficult to deal with is obvious, and it makes sense.

I recall a friend of mine who had a son, must have been about 6 or 7 years of age – I swear the kid is probably a prodigy. He was inquisitive and reflective about the meaning of things. My friend tried to have “friendly conversation(whatever that’s supposed to mean) with him about all kinds of toys, games, cartoons, idle superficial talk and so on… the kid wasn’t having it. Apparently the child wasn’t captivated or moved by such “friendly conversations”….. I admired the kid personally.

Some of us may view “friendly conversation” as conversation that’s centered around: Sports, games, TV shows, Celebrity drama, Pop culture, Music, Drugs, Lustful relations, Idle complaints, drama etc. In light of this……. Obviously the ACTUALLY conscious people probably will view such talk as a waste of energy.

I’ve been saying ACTUALLY conscious people because I believe there are a number of people who believe themselves to be conscious, awake or enlightened that really are not. They are caught in delusion. Some people believe they are conscious because they’ve read some books and browsed the internet; Or they believe they are conscious because they deep down don’t like the idea of being seen as “dumb” “stupid” or “not smart” so they listen to some lecture or watch a Hidden Colors type of film and mentally convince themselves that they are “enlightened” thus clinging to the thought “I am Conscious.” But to merely cling to the thought “I am conscious” is not to be conscious obviously. Also to just accumulate information is not either.

The great educator Mortimer J. Adler said this: “To be informed is to know that something is simply the case. To be enlightened is to[actually] know, in addition, what it is ALL ABOUT: why it is the case, what its connections are with other facts, in what respects it is the same, in what respects it is different and so forth.”
Though this definition can be expounded on to be more depth and precise. I think it works for the point being made.

I try to keep things light hearted and save the serious discussions for college but some really don't know how to filter themselves. They will bring up serious shyt at the most random times when everyone is in a good mood and kill the vibe with their negativity.
:mjlol:

They are always the dude at a house party talking about advanced social theory when they need to be philosophizing about how to get their dikk wet with all of the horny drunk girls. It's not just conscious brothas but serious white dudes as well.

Complete buzzkills when they could use all of that energy and intelligence to holler at girls and get laid.:ehh:
