Ticket prices for football or any sport really aren't that high (with the exception of Prize Fights, Floyd Mayweather, Mike tyson, Manny Pacquiao [The Floyd Canelo fight ticket prices range from 350 to 2000]),
it's the resale prices that are high as fukk. Some of the tickets go on sale for reasonable prices, some are purchased by season ticket holders who then put them up on stubhub and raise the prices & many of the tickets are sold to ticket brokers who do the same. One of the things you have to take into account is that for NFL teams, there's often a waiting list to even get season tickets.....You literally can't get them for many teams. That pushes up the resell value as well as there only being 8 home games. There's ways to get tickets to events before they hit the black market you just have to know how to do so.
For Example....I went to the Eagles vs Packers Playoff Game 2 years ago. I paid $125 for this seat which was on the 100 level right behind the endzone....The fukked up thing is that the standing room/upper level tickets cost like $75 retail. Literally no one within our squad were eagles fans either. We all had the same seats. Funny thinking about it, some hard core eagles fan probably spent a grip on those tickets. We barely spent anything.
I went to the NBA Finals...Game 6.....This was a $125 seat, 100 level behind the backboard, I was charged $300 for this seat on the black market and the broker could have gotten more but we had an understanding from one real nikka to another as he put it......
