Why are hockey fights different than NBA fights?

I don't think so breh. I dapped and undapped your post . If John Stockton fought Larry Bird I don't think you would get "look at these thugs" from media
Of course the media would have their slant but they would still be punished by the association and maybe even the law. I dunno what point youre trying to make aside from the obvious media is racially biased, but hockey is literally the only pro team sport that allows fights. Other "cac" sports dont. I dunno what else to tell you :manny:

yeah I know about Rudy Tomjanovich and Kermit Washington, but the fights I referenced all occurred several years after that. At some point in the 90's whites started demonizing fighting in the NBA, I remember clearly when the Knicks and Heat fought they all went crazy over that. I think this mentality from the white media started after the OJ verdict.
Hmmm you may have a point about the OS shyt, however I agree about the Knicks fight. Seeing that cac on Zo's leg and them two black bucks going at it burned something in the psyche of white media

:mjlol: this made me laugh

It's true. They allowed to fight for about a minute or some bullshyt or until one of 'em knocked out or don't want it as a way for players to blow off steam and what's not as opposed to holding grudges or looking to settle up with more harsh tactics (hitting each other with the sticks or violent checking) later on, on some deterrent shyt.

It's a cool rule, actually, but it doesn't make the news 'cause hardly anyone watches or cares about Hockey compared to bigger sports like Base,Foot or Basketball which much more larger audiences with "Images" to protect and all that. Hell, even the NFL is toning down the whole "Gridiron Warfare" shyt with the brutal hits that were once praised by fans and the league itself after the first wave of brain dead players started 'committing that' and in other situations being found with severe brain damage 'cause of the game they played.

Baseball sorta gets a past since it's still Amerikkka's favorite pastime so when mostly white benches cleared, fans jump behind their teams/players/city on some gang shyt and excuse it. I mean, the rallying cry behind White America when Don Zimmer waddled his old arthritic ass:old: out the dugout to go start fist fights and hooked up Pedro Martinez
giphy.gif
was some slanted bullshyt on how much of a "thug" the latin breh was compared to the fact that this old, wrinkled b*stard CAME OUT the dugout, ran past people, looking to join in the fray and prolly half expecting to see his old warbuddy Ty Cobb shyt kicking some brown person in the face before he let the crowd know how he felt.:stopitslime:

There is some racial shyt behind it, sure enough, but...hockey got a culture of fighting ingrained it the same way Nascar lowkey got a bunch of people that go there to expect and see wrecks.

All this drip on me
one thing about hockey is that fighting is just a natural escalation of the violence and hitting of the game. theres no hitting in basketball, so its more of an 'event' when theres a fight instead of it being business as usual

im not saying there arent other reasons :mjpls:

There's violence and hitting in Football(even more than hockey), but that doesn't stop NFL players from getting the "violent, thug" labels attached to them.:mjpls:

I don't think so breh. Nikkaz fighting during ping pong matches would be vilified. I hate watching NFL now because they got the "protect the white quarterback" from nikkaz putting the beats on a cac qb but a nikka like Cam "he can take beating"
Idk about that breh, I thought Brady was gonna die last year against the broncos.

I often wonder if you can even deliver anything with force on ice skates.

It's a coach that used to play basketball and was involved in a serious fight back in the 70s. Cac got hit so hard by a black player that he was tasting brain fluid. I think since then they started paying more attention to fights and controlling the powder keg of black punching power

Hockey fighting is dead now tho. The league is changing and teams arent signing goon players anymore. All 4 lines have skilled players now.

:dead: at all this race shyt being mentioned when the simple answer is fighting on skates and on ice isn't as likely to turn into serious injury/death as a normal fight is

All them hockey nikkas are allowed to do is trade wobbly-ass punches/shoves, and fall to the ice. That's it. You can't compare that to an NBA fight. Ain't nobody gonna bodyslam someone or run up into the crowd with skates on :dead:

Were the ones who went into the stands still wearing their skates at the time?

Seriously asking because I can't tell due to video quality

EDIT: Upon review....I THINK they still had them on. If so, I'll take that L.....but the point remains that shyt clearly wasn't allowed, and I'm sure that was on the news

You got to be trolling. NBA nikkaz not carrying sticks and on sharp skates. NBA nikkaz in shorts and wife beaters using their hands. Hockey players are traveling at high rates of speed slamming each other into glass. They fight at close range throwing haymakers until they get tired. When Chris Childs two pieced Kobe that wasn't that bad, when Shaq punched at Barkley it wasn't that bad. For some reason NBA players can't connect with a punch
