Not the pointreminder that there is no one "African" concept..... there are many different cultures there lol
Western thought isn't made with us as the protagonist, so why mimic it?

How are we feminzing ourselves? Then don’t expect to lead your household either.
Y’all dudes love to talk about the emasculation of black men, but y’all seem to have no issue with feminizing yourselves.
I mean in africa our concepts of family and love were so different than what we do now. Maybe its why we maybe fail at it so much
That’s a thread in itselfThis also gives me a concept for a thread.
Why do black people try to mimic European morality, standards and ethics?
Especially when western style of thought is inherently racist towards and makes it impossible to live up to it.

I mean how we western ideas warped our view of women and how our family units functionWhat do you mean by this? Because, for instance, it appears West Africans don’t have the issues that we have.
Our problem is the systemic fracturing of the black family under a system of white supremacy.
Our issues come as a result of the behaviors that had to be adapted as a result of that fracturing.
Not the point

I believe men should date exclusively women on their levels or above it financiallyGood thinking warya, that whole provider shyt might have worked in the 40s and 50s but now a days if you're not marying a wife that makes as much as you preferably more you're setting you're self and childeren up for failure.
I get what you're saying, my badno that's exactly the point....it's literally not even a "western" thing because some african tribes have always had the tradition of the man being the provider and protector. so my point is when you speak on it, don't see it as africa as a whole but more on a tribe by tribe basis
Breh the silver back literally defends the females, that is provisionsA silverback doesn't hunt to feed his woman no does he protect her or the kids outside of keep his spot as silver back
He protects his position lmaoBreh the silver back literally defends the females, that is provisions
These nikkas live in nature protection is all the provisions they need, you expect animals to pay for bytches or some shyt? Lmao
in the context of having a wife and kids why wouldn't you want to protect and provideI honestly feel like that way of thinking is outdated.
I have no desire to spend my money or put my life at risk for some woman![]()
How are we feminzing ourselves?
Why is our masculinity defined in relation to what we do for women?

“not risking my life protecting some woman” and run the other way?
That's now what masculinity is to meThere’s nothing more masculine than a man who protects & provides for his family.
I don’t know how else to view masculinity. But I do know, if a man expects a woman to take care of him, or is comfortable with a woman taking care of him, I (personally) no longer view him as a man. He’s become an overgrown child.
