Viewing women as property is not essential to protecting women.
But it is.
Like , that's the reason why men protect women. It's primarily to keep them from other males, who would like to fukk them and give them a baby. Which is why it was permissible to kill a woman if she is not a virgin. Without this relationship to sexual access and reproduction and treating women like some sort of birthing slash fukking machine aka property, what incentive does a man have to provide and protect women as a social imperative, as a gender expectation, as a rule?
There is none. Just because a woman is physically weaker, doesn't mean you need to protect them. Just because a woman might process information a little differently, doesn't mean you need to protect them. That's just infantilizing women and making men seem like some of sort superhero. And then it treats men like property. Then a man is just an ATM slash bodyguard.
In a sexually promiscuous societies, women have more freedoms to do shyt. In societies where women were expected to work outside of the home, women have more freedoms to do shyt. IIn matriarchal and matrilineal societies women had more freedom to do shyt.
