Why do muslims believe that the Israeli occupation of the West Bank somehow evens out the massive amount of killing done in the name of Islam on a daily basis? It's a pathetic excuse.

I don't, muslims do. Anytime you criticise their countries they bring up Israel as if it's some kind of trump card. I don't support the occupation but if you believe Israel is doing more or less the same thing to the Palestinians as muslim are doing to other muslims in Iraq and Syria then you are deluded.
No you equated the situation. Btw...Palestinians are Muslims, Christians and Jews. So save the "It's muslims". Syria has massive amount of Christians too but don't understand the dynamic of politics in the Middle East. It's clear or that.

I'll give it a shot. I think it has to do with the nature of Islam and how the West operates in general. So-called Bill of Rights, respecting religions, and whatnot. So the media uses this as hedge to argue the main point that Islam is backwards from "modern" society without actually saying it. Showing women in burkas, dusty towns, kids throwing rocks at tanks. Just making them look savage and uneducated. And most modern Americans do not understand the nature of war so they are presented with a highly censored version of it. When Operation Iraqi Freedom began we were all subjected to flashy media themes and all watched a bombing of a major city on tv. (Iraq). Looked like fireworks. But we didn't see the aftermath of people getting crushed by buildings or burned to death by the bombs. We are just as savage if not more than the "evil" Muslims, but we just don't know it.

Really? Anti-Islamic literature existed throughout Medieval times. Did they have Al Qaeda back then too? Fact is, the Western World always had bias towards Muslims because for a long time Muslims were the second super power that sort of "checked" them and the West does not want that super power to return. The West worked tirelessly to destroy the Caliphate which is actually the reason that the ME is as crazy as it is now. The British basically took the caliphate's lands and fragmented it into separate nations to keep Muslims from reuniting. And now everybody is like, "why are things so crazy over there?", because non-Muslims went over there, divided and conquered, and are basically telling Muslims that they don't have the right to reestablish their OWN unified state while simultaneously allowing the reestablishment Israel. People see it as hypocrisy and are fighting what they see as post-caliphate era imperialism. To keep it 100%, without western interference and the breakdown of the caliphate you PROBABLY DO NOT HAVE GROUPS LIKE AL QAEDA, HAMAS, ISIS in the first place. All of these militias are POST-CALIPHATE era groups. You and other idiots talking about 911, bombings, and people dancing in the streets must not have ever picked up any books and learned of centuries of anti-Islamic behavior from Europe and the colonies that emerged from Europe (i.e. America etc) and foreign policy that is basically designed to ensure that Muslims never reunite.
You didn't make a point, that's all I'm pointing out.
