This is the problem (and I'm 38 yrs old, and speakin for nkkas of my ilk). Nkkas need to switch it up, or learn to pivot. Black folks and the "cool nkkas" (nkkas like me) made all these sneakers popular (before they were popular). Nkkas had all these Dunks, J's, Air Maxes, Foams (Pennys), AF1s, etc. in the 90s when this shyt FIRST came out (when they ACTUALLY meant something). When cacs and squares were still rockin Sketchers, Nikes from Kohl's, and whatever other goofy shyt, folks were wearing.
Back when nkkas were waitin outside the local sneaker store, or Foot Locker, for the shyt to open on a school morning (to get back for lunch, and shine). Not when you needed tickets, raffles, and all this other goofy shyt to cop sneakers. Nkkas outside sneaker stores for 2 days, in tents, waitin to pay $300 for some shyt, that been re-released 3x already, since '04. If this is you, YOU'RE A GOOFY/mark
(unless your flippin frfr).
A lot of these sneakers BEEN lost their mystique. NIKE is robbin the shyt out folks and laughing at em, at the rate their droppin these RE-RE-releases. You're out here gettin beat in the head by NIKE, and lookin for props from suburban cacs, and Hypebeasts. The truth always been the cool nkkas set the trends, and dictate what's poppin. I'll freak some $80 gazelles, for $30 I caught on a clearance rack, in an Adidas outlet, cuz you can't BUY TASTE.

We're NATURAL trendsetters, and there's wayyy too much variety in 2022, to be dikkeatin the same 3 series of sneakers. GTFOH. Why TF would I or you, need to follow the masses. Nkkas got $400 J's on, and still can't dress. You're hustlin backwards, black man.
Quit lettin these cacs trick you out your money, and learn to diversify your sneaker game, outside J's and Dunks. Get some designers. Get some fly Pumas, NB...anything.

I was stationed at Pendleton. I lived in fallbrook so I would hit oceanside and I spent lots of money at that active store as well.. that place still there ?

Yeh the games all fukked up I dropped out years ago after my mum through out my Heinekens, Pusheads, Hawaiis and De Las thinking they was trash. Tried to get back in the game recently and the prices and all this queuing raffles and other shyt made it a pass for me.

I gave Nike the boot like 10 years ago.
I bought a pair of Huaraches and the second time I wore them strap on the back of my shoe popped off. Then my Air Max 90's had a piece of hard plastic that ripped through the fabric at the heel. It was sharp and I couldn't cut it off so I had to toss them in the garbage.
Their quality control is abysmal.

I got 3 pairs of the astrokicks and when I lived in Brooklyn I had the Suedes and the Clydes on rotation alongside my Nikes.
I hate seeing those pandas everywhere, at least when people went crazy over roshes they had colors but seeing so many people wearing the same shoe drives me nuts
I’m glad I kept my premium sb’s my ex got me in like 2015, they’re beater status but I like the used charm of it. But the dunk bubble needs to pop

Thought I would never say this, but Im out the sneaker game. shyt not exciting no more. Too many cornballs in the sneaker industry. Fakkit ass nike keep retro'ing the same jays. Why we can't get the jays from the Wizard years.

Yup. I’m not paying $400-$500 for a sneaker.
Bruh I cant anymore especially after I've seen how good the "fakes" are. I copped a pair of bred 4s and compared them to my real ones and there's very little difference. You could only tell if you had them side by side.
