Yep. The Crack Era made the worst out of us, and people still rep the ills of the hood.

The best place for living is the burbs near a major city. You need room to move around and every grown person would learn how to drive and own a car of some sort IMO.

Suburbs out here have just as much traffic as the city, more sometimes.

people who arent from the hood that make statements like the OP is referring to, are either bitter cooons or they have an inferiority complex.

on the flipside, as somebody alluded to earlier, people from the hood tend to clown people who are from the burbs.
but then again, people from the hood also clown people from other hoods that arent as hard or as lively as theirs. people from the burbs just tend to take that chit personally and catch feelings - which kinda coincides with why theyre getting clowned in the first place.

most of the time, its done in fun. nothing serious.

edit: chit, the hoods dont even have to be far apart. you can walk a few blocks over to the border of where another rougher hood begins, and theyll talk that chit like youre from another city.

Virtually all African societies were wide open. Humans in general weren't made for closed spaces and crazy traffic 24/7.

It's place out here that were quiet as hell 10 years ago, now they're patrolled heavy, run down as fukk, fucced up raggedy streets and no bus routes even tho they're only 25 minutes away from downtown.

i think it couldve went either way....if they started small businesses and just like their square homies not in the dope game run them...then we probably would see many black enterprise and gentrification wouldn't be as strong...I no where im at...aint shyt black owned in the hood....

nah, from what I've noticed though, black people from the "hood" are the only ones to shame other blacks who aren't from there. It's gotten so bad that you see a lot of kids from good middle to upper class backgrounds frontin HARD and ashamed to say out loud in front of other blacks where they actually grew up. .

You never see or hear that shyt with whites, Asians, Latinos (Mexicans, Colombians, Peruvians etc), Arabs Indians etc--only with Black Folks, Puerto Ricans and Dominicans.
