Why are people so afraid of Islam?

it was created to be the enemy of christianity
and I'm using fear in the context of "respect"
I'm talking about islam as monotheistic faith organized 1400 years ago by muhammad. The original pre-islamstic polytheistic religion of Allah/Eloah worshiped by the arabs is a whole nother beast to deal with, and i don't expect most posters to have uncovered that type of knowledge at this stage.
Because I don't submit to their barbaric and repressed wishes for society.

alright. but i don't think that's the reason it was 'created'... it wasn't created anyway..... it just was. other people went away from it... so it was simply reviled again by Prophets. People submitted to one God and lived righteously before Muhammad

im not afraid of islam, im highly critical of it because whatever "good" that peaceful muslims are doing for the world, doesnt outweigh the bad thats done every day in the name of allah. but that goes for all religions
im also disgusted by the resident apologists refusal to admit that the concept of islam and reward by allah has nothing to do with these men's motivations or action, since that's a blatant lie

Breh that whole wave of Islamic extremism is actually a result of modern political thought. Oppressive, authoritarian states didn't exist in the premodern world
