Why are people so afraid to eat alone?

I don't think I've ever eaten alone. Ehh, I like joking around with people while I wait on my food so I'll go with at least 1 other person.

full diss.My roommate in college liked to eat alone all the time, but he was an awkward shut-in who played Final Fantasy online all day.
We'd invite him to whatever we were doing and he declined every single time

I can eat at my crib & watch a movie at home by myself with no problem.....but going to nice resturants & movie theaters alone? Na, that's just some weird shyt to me

Oooh, ok wait. I was referring to places like Ihop or Applebees. I've never went to that type of restaurant alone.

I used to do a lot of shyt alone in high school, would ditch and my friends were all pussies and didn't wanna ditch with me, so i would be alone. I saw a movie alone once, wasn't a bad thing but I was pretty embarrassed after it was over bc I was walking alone to the exits 
. Ive ate alone a lot when too in that span, didn't get embarrassed about that at all.
But I could never, never go to a restaurant by myself. A restaurant with a waitress and all that, no fukking way. The embarrassment would be too much
