Why are posters with neg rep not banned?

That'd be too radical. Some people get thrown in the red over petty shyt. But I do agree there should be a hard limit for that kind of shyt. After someone gets real deep in the red, like -500, it's pretty clear they're a hopeless troll.

Because this place is already a haven for groupthink and bandwagoning on one hand and factionalism on the other. Doing what you suggest would make it even worse.
