Rosewood & Tulsa: Tragedies, no doubt. But what about the other majority black economic hubs? What about Jackson Ward? Parrish Street? Georgetown?

HBCUs: Weren't most of them either built by whites (UMES, Howard, etc) or strongly supported by them? Tuskegee? And wasn't their decline largely because of desegregation?

Reconstruction: The 1877 Compromise had alot to do with the aftermath of that. But what about Booker T?

Garveyism: Lots of issues there, one of them being that Garvey surrounded himself with way too many "yes men." Also lets not forget about the fact that people like DuBois and the NAACP sabotaged him.

Gaddafi: A demagogue who helped train and arm thugs like Charles Taylor and Sankoh Forday who destroyed Liberia and Sierra Leone. Also was friends with Idi Amin and Mengistu of Ethiopia. Very happy he's dead

Sankara: A good natured man who had some right ideas. Was killed by a student of Gaddafi.

Nkrumah: A good independence leader, not so good head of state. Essentially made himself president for life, created a one party state in Ghana and threw people in jail who didn't agree with him.

Lumumba: Not a good leader at all. Only really known for making speeches and embezzling money. Got himself killed after he raised all government salaries except for the military. Not a skilled strategist and talked way too much. Also not really a Communist even though he's somehow become a symbol for them

I'm not sure what this is rebutting.

You're lost and that is fine.

I have agreed with him. And being correct and being popular have nothing to do with one another by the way.

You do things your way and us Blacks who want real change will go about it our way.

What is this referring to? You said Eastern Europe has always been behind but Russia has been the big dog the vast majority of the past 100 years.

Big dog in Eastern Europe or in the world?

I said local.

Local as in indigenous?

And it still doesn't change the fact that banking in a country 6x as old should have better financial systems

But when was that comparison made by me?

Technology as in electronics but I expect you to argue semantics when you have no argument

So meanings of words don't matter?

You did when you claimed private business owners would create public goods and social infrastructure without government intervention.

I'd love to see where I did that.

Believing in a social component with capitalism isn't Marxist :pachaha:

If you say so. I can actually get into details. You're only capable of name dropping. But if you want to feel victorious, go ahead.

Yup. By continuing down the Cultural/Economic Marxist path apparently. Have fun with that.

Cold War ring any bells

Local as in indigenous?

Sure

But when was that comparison made by me?

My point is that age of a country needs to be considered when discussing infrastructure

So meanings of words don't matter?

Not if you knew what was meant

I'd love to see where I did that.

You claimed the government needed to shrink and that private business owners would create public goods and social infrastructure

And what way is that? You guys have no real vision other than complain how white supremacy is holding our people back. Any real change will require you to take accountability for your own predicament. And we all know how you feel about.

How would you know that "guys have no real vision?"

And White supremacy slows, not blocks progress.

No doubt that the USSR was a superpower, but apart being the first to space, how else was it dominating over the 1st world?

Ok. So how does Pakistan not match up?

My point is that age of a country needs to be considered when discussing infrastructure

Another straw man. Who ever said it shouldn't be considered?

Not if you knew what was meant

Dude you should get it together. You're mixing up meanings as well as arguments.

You claimed the government needed to shrink and that private business owners would create public goods and social infrastructure

I said they'd work with the government to do so. That's not saying they'd do it all by themselves.
