Why are predominately black countries mostly poor? in your opinion

This is a fairly legitimate question. Why is it that I as a black man cannot live in a predominately black run nation that isn't struck with abject poverty? I know the reasoning for this depends on the historical/economical status of that particular country. Every country has its own set of issues. However abject poverty seems to be the overriding theme for many predominately black nations across the planet.

The Asians have Japan, South Korea and Singapore. These countries has vastly different histories than a lot of African nations. They've also overcome oppression by the west and currently have relatively healthy economies.
Africa as a whole seems to be undergoing steady development but they are years, if not decades behind the rest of the world.

I know answering this question would take extensive research. I know this is pretty vague question so im asking for opinions.

the wealth you see in the modern world is abstract, it doesnt exist in the real world, it exists becuase of abstract beliefs about money (for example believing that if I scribble something on a piece of paper, you can take it to the bank and deposit it)

modern wealth can only exist in a literate capitalist society and the wealth can only be transfered to a literate capitalist society

a lot of black countries are vastly illiterate and lack any sort of real financial networks

Africa was raped exploited and systems inserted that wipes out the resources and put the countries in debt with country trained dictators.

there are different theories for this, but bottom line is that outside of egypt and some secret ethiopian writing system africans never developed an indigineous writing system, i think its becuase african never was crowded and therefore there was no pressure to develop and expand

in african, literacy has come from islam and christianity, so while certain groups may have been literate, the vast majority of non christian and non mulsims were illiterate

so today there isnt tradition of literacy amongst african or us slave descendants, at least its not as strong compared to mainstream society

from my reading of history literacy and capitalism are the most important determinng factors in a societies wealth, even for example cuba, i think the reason why cuba has had some succeses, despite its overall failure, is that one of the first things castro did was create a literacy program, if you look at the caribbean where a lot of those islands are somewhat succesful (outside of haiti, there isnt widespread abject poverty in the black caribbean), you see they have 90% literacy and a lot of their income comes from banking and tourism (capitalism), and the success of korea, japan and even china is all based on capitalism

speaking of asia, the other part is cohesion, this goes back to the issue of africa never being a crowded continent and for the most part was never conquered by one group, so there isnt widespread commonalities like in europe who where conquered by the romans for example, social cohesion is very important to develop a country, its part of the abstract wealth of a country becuase it makes trade easier and makes government run smoother asian and noridc countries have a lot of this

so i would say those 3 things, literacy, capitalism, and social cohesion explain why we are always at the bottom economically

haitians, understandably, killed all the french when they got independence

so at independnece, haiti was essentially 90 percent (if not 99) illiterate and even till this day most of the country is illiterate

i think that explains haitian poverty more than anything else
