funny thing is most anime steals from black culture, music, art, etc and if you knew your history you would know most of that samurai kung fu etc is from moor... nm smh

but I think thats why, you couldnt tell me dragonballz or cowbow bebop or some of these other shows didnt have influences from western culture. I always liked the art and music in them tho..:yeshrug:

I'm probably the nerdiest black dude in my circle 100% square and I'm not into anime. I'm into video games though.

I mean yeah I watched dbz a bit of naruto but I ain't watching that sht daily not even weekly or anything like that.

Anime be like hundreds of episodes to tell a crap story. I don't know why people are into it. Them otaku, japanophiles or whatever hella weird though. My cousin is one

Yup. A lot that shyt is overrated. Soap opera for kids.

I swear society acts like anime fans are the weirdest people :heh:
A lot of people don't even reveal themselves to be fans of anime unless asked about it.

I'm like that, admittedly. But lately it seems like I've been running into mad bytches that like anime and video games. As far as bytches are concerned my only hobbies are the gym and hoopin. :mjlol:

I dunno any nikka who wasn't fukking with either DBZ, Kenshin, Naruto or Inyuasha when I was growing up. Those shows were lit so it's no surprise some folks would stay watching other shows especially when there's so much quality animation these days.

I won't disagree with you on the fact that a lot of them are weeaboos.

I've been "apart" of the anime community on YouTube since 2010-2011.

I've even uploaded a few anime reviews of my own and I want to visit Japan, Korea and China when I finish college.

There was a point and time where I watched about 12+ seasonal anime series at a time :dead:

Now at my new school I don't have time for that shyt. I am far from a weeaboo though.

And anime is awesome, and most anime are 12-24 episodes or they are really long like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece,

Fairy Tail etc. Anime is so diverse from stuff for little kids to more mature and mind stimulating things.

Gundam Wing, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho, and so many others were my shyt. My mom, dad, and big sister would be watching DBZ with me and my lil brother when we got home from school.

I remember one time I got in trouble at school and had to do detention, I told my teacher :whoa: DBZ got 2 episodes that come on when I get out, you gon' make me miss at least one of 'em. She said too bad. I get home and the reactions from my family:

Lil brother::mjlol::umad:

Big sister::banderas:

Dad::whoo:

Mom::ufdup::pachaha:

Me::stopitslime:

That shyt still gets me heated sometimes.

Oh!
I like to binge on hulu.
My favorite is Future Diary, Shiki, Ghost in the Shell, Lady Death, Mardock Scramble, many more I can't name on the top of my head right now.

Did you see the live movie? I found it online and downloaded it on my phone. That shyt so :banderas: I'm pissed they taking so long with Season 2!

:krs: I saw the AoT movie a few months ago, turned out way better than I thought it would. I keep tryna tell my peeps they need to see it, but they keep giving me the :pacspit:

What's with the name change?:leostare:

I don't know about them stealing from black people other than the music. There's a lot of japanese rapping in anime theme songs.

Half the time in anime you can tell the creators don't know black people, black representation in anime is the WOAT in media by far. They range from blatantly racist stereotypes to completely off the wall inaccurate depictions. Like think about how many times you've seen a black person in anime that has pure white hair or green eyes

Because Asians are practically light skinned nikkas when you get to know them. Black and Asian culture shares a lot of similarities.:manny:

(I dated a lot of asian girls and had a lot of asian friends)
