I'm not reaching Batman and superman ARE geek culture same as Dragonball characters are main stream. The only difference is the anime properties are not having movie franchises shtted out every few years.
I haven't been into anime in many years (the last series I can remember finishing was History's Strongest Disciple Kenishi and the first season of Black Lagoon back in 2007; I was watching Claymore and Darker Than Black around the same time, but never finished), but I used to be into it heavy ... Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon ( 
), Rurouni Kenshin, Scryed, Evangelion, Bubblegum Crisis (the OG one, not the remake) ... so many memories

I always thought that show was better than Gundam as a kid, so to this day I barely have gotten into a Gundam. The only one I remember fukkin with heavy is G Gundam
