Togashi ( Hunter x Hunter ) can actually write and doesn't follow the typical shonen tropes. Same goes for Studio Ghibli. I prefer shows/movies with characters that have gray morality. It's also one of the reasons why I can't stand American comics and TV shows.

It's pretty good. One of the few mangas with a Black main character.

My list is too long though. Prefer OVA's to series, unless they're short like Samurai Champloo, Black Lagon, or Ghost in the Shell
