Hmm....I wonder if this is slightly correlated with people remembering the remaining years of their lives before COVID struck?

Granted, COVID did happen under Trump's watch but the majority of his Presidency occurred without it.

I think some people are just remembering life before COVID with a rose colored lens without looking at all the shyt Trump put us through and how he emboldened White supremacists and Far Right Conservatives throughout the country.

Dudes downplay the fact that Trump literally bridged the gap between the GOP and the Alt Right and Neo-fascists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and DeSantis took their whole playbook from Trump.

Conservatives are more aggressive and radical than ever before because of Trump's Domino effect but I think people forget that when remembering their individual lives from 2017-2019.

If these nikkas want their Jim Crow let them have it

let the Supreme Court gut everything our ancestors fought for. I’m not marching for it or rioting for it back. I don’t think nikkas who want to get rid of rights deserve rights.

And then we should have an “is this you” for the contrarians who wanted him back
Yup. Everyone's a contrarian until shyt hits the fan.

Trump is the sole reason why the GOP is borderline fascist and radical these days.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, DeSantis, Kari Lake, and other radical Republicans literally are Trump's disciples and the Alt Right has grown massively under his watch.

Also, Trump's "economy" was actually Obama's economy that spilled over to his Presidency and immigration still remained damn near the same despite all the tough talk(I think even Obama deported more illegals than Trump but I have to fact check that.)

Not to mention, some of the things people are blaming on Biden would've happened regardless of who's President.

The whole notion that a President can get rid of inflation, food shortage, and high gas prices overnight by snapping their finger like Thanos as soon as they get into office is one of the biggest lies that politicians love to push.

If Trump gets re-elected, you're still going to have inflation and other economic problems on top of the MAGA agenda being pushed to higher levels than ever before.

Trump created a Frankenstein of radicalized Republicans and fascists within White America. We will never be able to kick back and relax when Trump's re-elected because the GOP will be doing everything in its power to disenfranchise their opposition due to still being in their feelings over January 6th.

If you think the Neo-Fascists running the GOP today are already radical, wait until Trump gets re-elected and gives them even more excessive power than they already have.

💯to the bolded.
Trump's administration was going all out gutting voting rights for Black people and making it harder to vote so the Republican party could stay in power.

And we got (some) Black people yuking it up like Trump wasn't actively trying to make sure of that...

Exactly.

These dudes are just nostalgic for the remaining years before COVID hit and attributing it to the Trump administration.

No breh.....You didn't lose money when COVID hit cause of Biden. You lost money when COVID hit because it's COVID lol. COVID caused a whole bunch of people to lose money and it happened under Trump's watch before Biden was forced to deal with it.

Trump is not just some happy go lucky "Economy first" Republican. He's never been that. Trump literally engineered the brotherhood between the GOP and the Alt Right.

Many radical/fascist Republicans today are Trump's disciples.

Brehs think Trump getting re-elected is going to lead to him somehow getting rid of inflation within a month, getting rid of COVID, and bringing them back to their last pre-COVID years of 2017-2019 without realizing that the world today is totally different and it's not because of Biden.

With Trump re-elected, we're still going to have the same gas prices, COVID, inflation, housing crisis, food shortage, global intervention, etc. but with the added bonus of Trump doing everything to empower his MAGA shills across the country and preventing another Democrat from winning the 2028 election.

"B-But Trump's cool with rappers so he's not a racist like DeSantis or Tucker Carlson." Lol....these "both sides" dudes are going to learn the hard way that the GOP being in power will constantly keep us on our toes.

I'm not even a Biden fan like that but it's crazy how people are blaming shyt on Biden that would've happened even if Trump won the 2020 election. Fox News blames inflation, recessions, mass shootings, crime, etc. solely on Biden when the same shyt was going on in 2020 when Trump was President due to COVID throwing everybody off.

But it just goes to show how effective the Right Wing is on the "free thinking" Internet. All it takes is one click and you're whole algorithm will expose you to MAGA babble.

Lol some of y'all need to get off r/politics and walk in to the real world. I hear so many excuses of why shyt is the way it is today..."oh it's the supply chain blah blah"

Folks are really out here struggling everything has been skyrocketing in price since 2020

What is a comment like this even trying to say? That inflation doesn't happen for explicit reasons? That low-info voters should be excused?

.Trump could’ve had a run if he focused on his business moves instead of being a talking puppet. Alas, Trump has a thirst for attention.

Trump wasn't even good at the business side. His main moves were trade wars that fukked over far more people then they helped, then his lack of prep for Covid caused wild unnecessary swings in the business environment. The only reason business people liked him was because he kept corporate/rich taxes extra low (fukking over the budget) and was anti regulation in all circumstances (giving over everyone).

Also, I never understood why #BothSides types still claim to support reparations and tangibles when it's very clear that only ONE political party is entertaining that for us while the other views it as "more welfare for Black people" and wants to banish it completely.

Gavin Newsom, Sheila Jackson, Julian Castro, Marianne Williamson, Gary Chambers, etc. are politicians who support reparations and have attempted to push for comprehensive plans for it and not a single one is MAGA.

Even Tariq's involvement with the reparations movement in California and the move made by the Evanston City Council in Ilinois prove that Liberals are WAY more likely to have serious discussions about working out a plan for reparations or tangibles for Black people than Republicans and Trump supporters.

If you support Trump over Biden, see the GOP as the "lesser evil", etc. then I can see how you could support something that reinforces your own beliefs.

But I never understood dudes switching it up and suddenly hopping on the reparations/tangibles bandwagon while calling a group who wants to make it all disappear like Houdini while also doing away with social security/student loan forgiveness/food stamps/Black history in schools etc "the lesser of two evils."
