The liks were my shyt back in the day. Tash definetly was a beast but just not a solo artist. Might of worked better if he did collab projects with other mcs. I always liked j ro too. They were overlooked because they weren't soft enough for the softies and not hard enough for the gangsters. Idk, maybe I'm wrong.

I never liked J-Ro when I was younger. I used to skip past his verses to get to Tash. Looking back J-Ro was solid. But, he couldn’t hold a candle to Tash in my opinion. I was disappointed with the Rap Life album though. Bad skits, and more filler than I would’ve liked. Bermuda Triangle still goes hard though.

Yeah, J-Ro got better towards the end of the run as far as technical rapping ability, his earlier stuff was cool with the voice but real simplistic, thats sometimes great however.

Agree on Bermuda Triangle, thats my joint, still bump the 12" instrumental all the time.

The Liks are dope as fukk. Tash is a beast. Rap Life is a phenomenal album. I use to bump that and play Tony Hawk 2 for hours. That album was my video game soundtrack. Would zone out and just slay Tony Hawk. It came as a double disc. Disc 2 was a mix of label mates. Wish I could remember what came on it

The Tash solo album should have gone gold or so but Loud, great as they were with NY acts, were clueless with their west coast roster. Always thought Tash was kind of the drunk west coast Redman, charismatic, funny, could spit all day

Xzibit talked about it, I think on Drink Champs, where Dre basically told Rifkind this is the budget, this is my fee, now get the fukk out the way and I'll deliver a hit album and that was the only reason Restless took off
