DC is in the east coast. They should be in The Atlantic but there's no more room. And there's only 1 team that's really in the northwest in The Northwest Division..

Washington D.C. is on the East Coast. Unless you just came back from a failed brain surgery, I don't know how much farther east DC can get to be considered on the East.
Some may consider it the Mid-Atlantic region, but it's below the Mason-Dixon line if you want to look at it that way.
