Last black-ish church I went to was a lil “culty”
I don’t see myself going back unless I want personal 1v1 discussions with a pastor or just time to sit and pray/meditate without singing, people acting a fool, etc.
When I was depressed somewhat I just went to church and sat and thought... not during sermons or masses... just when it was hardly no one there

Are there any studies that tract the decline of Black Youth in the church?
I think its many reasons why some churches have low attendance from young folks...
- People move, especially young folks and young professionals
- People always looking for something new or modern and some churches don't adjust well
- People work a lot...multiple jobs, overtime, etc. and that can tire folks out whereas they oversleep on Sunday mornings
- People love to turn up on weekends and be either dealing with hangover and/or come down from getting it in Saturday and Friday
