Why are there Interstate highways in Hawaii?

Why is Hawaii and Alaska even part of the United States. We need to cut them off like they did Pluto

Gold + oil, and a halfway point/perfect naval position between asia and north America will do it for you. Its a match made in heaven if you think about it.



I think the much weirder reality would be if russia actually kept Alaska as an outpost during the cold war era.

It might be called interstate h-3 but its not within the "united" states so technically..........
