Comedy takes YEARS to get good at YEARS!!! I've spoken to a few comedians about the craft because at one point I'd contemplated being a assistant writer after briefly dating one, and it's like any art form where you have to practice for years just to be decent enough for a 5 minute set. Look at T.I. he claimed he was a comedian and came in not respecting the craft and was getting mad when he was bombing.
Plus you have to READ alot, that's the part that these newer "social media" comedy acts don't do. You have to have worldy knowledge to pull from to be able to relate to people and even in a niche demo if you have some incite into something random like a culture but then can relate it to the masses you are good.
Like I remember someone posted on here that Reggaeton music sounded like a trash can being thrown down some stairs, you put that into a set with a bunch of Puerto Ricans and they'll hit the
