Why are there so many Laker fans in DC?

I would assume that it's for 3 reasons
1. The Lakers as a franchise has 16 titles
2. The Lakers has 31 finals vs 21 for Celtics
3. Cats only look at the 70s and on (i.e. the Kareem era)
The times when cats could average 45 minutes per game and 50ppg, making 15 stacks a year are well not always observed.

1. Laker fans and even the NBA didn't recognize the Lakers' Minneapolis titles till AFTER Boston won #17 . Watch those celebrations in 02. Stern even said congrats on yalls 9th title.
2. 31 vs 21? That just means the Lakers.lost more times. Boston won 17 out of 21 . LA/Minneapolis won 16 out of 31.

It means that the lakers has been the best in the west 31 times and Celtics 21 times in the east.
Wizards fans are the realist fans on here.
They still lost 15 of those times. So they were the best in the NBA 16 times and Celtics 17.
