Because it beats working some minimum wage gig making maybe 200 bucks a week after taxes.

Most women even the low end providers can make that in an hour or two giving happy endings in some hotel room or selling a subscription to their pictures.

It's all about supply and demand. If you don't have an education beyond a high school diploma or come from a background with money then there are few things you can turn to other than the streets if you're a woman.

That's selling ass, the con artist game, or gaming the system for most.

I've seen what people will do for small sums of money now imagine putting a person in a situation where they are going to be destitute, not knowing where there next meal is coming, and unable to pay their bills.

Men will always pay for some azz, so it's a relatively easy hustle to get fast cash. I understand it, it's a means to an end.

Pandamic might also change how consumers act down the line. More people will start ordering shyt off Amazon or Uber eats instead of going to eat in person. It might be the end for retail brehs and brehettes tbh.

Yes. The pandemic caused a paradigm shift in the way we approach work/commute. Companies were forced to adapt to remote work overnight and in doing so it caused a ripple effect through the other sectors. Hospitality took a huge hit, and a lot of that isn’t coming back due to companies realizing they don’t need those face to face meetings anymore, so those premiums airline use feast off business travel are gone. Those hotels that relied on those business class guests are gonna take a hit. Businesses that relied on the foot/car traffic from employees on their commute or lunch break are taking Ls too. If your business hadn’t yet adapted or were too slow to adapt to the digital era, you’re fukked. If you were lucky enough to had already adapted or if your were able to adapt on the fly, you now get to eat your competitor’s lunch. If you check out the stock market wins from March to today, you’d see a lot tech companies won because if was a much smoother transition for them.

All this lead to companies realizing they can do more with less payroll overhead. Now we have a lot unemployed people with skillsets that’s are no longer useful to the machine so it spat them out. They’re now competing with each other for the same space. This isn’t something you can fix with a vaccine. It’s gonna hurt for a minute.

I don't think it's social media. Seems like COVID really caught a lot of people slipping:yeshrug:. It seems like there's more women selling cat now more than ever:francis:

Women tend to work in the service economy i.e hospitality, cosmetics, entertainment, and stores. Most of these jobs are shut down due to the pandemic or reduced their need for workers.

As much as folks think they are in a protected job, these types of things spill over. My mom’s oil company is laying folks off because the reduce in air travel. I’m in higher ed and we are starting to struggle.
