Why are trucks common in the south?

I been living in the South for 6 years.When I was in Jersey didn't seem as common as they are down here.Women are driving trucks more then the hunters what's with that?

people just have better uses for trucks downsouth than anywhere else. Its part of the downsouth culture

Rural people are used to buying pick-up trucks for their utilitarian purposes.
If you look at vehicle sales in the US, more pick-up trucks are sold than sedans.

Trucks are looked at as manly so men get them to assert their manhood.

Plus when you factor in its uses its a bonus for someone in the south due to their lifestyle.

Interesting that you see a lot of women driving trucks. If that's true then I guess its becoming the southern vehicle more so than just a manly ride.

Yeah, women drive trucks all the time down here. I never thought nothing of it. There's a lady at my church old enough to be my grandmother and riding in a old 1983 F-150 with the long bed.

the South is known for big trucks due to more wide, open spaces. (country)

they usually use the trucks as they're intended for.

we go half/half usage up North. some people use them for work, others just like the thought and looks of having a large truck.

Trucks are cool fam if you can handle the gas. A lot of white and Hispanic women have trucks because that is what they grew up with so its a level of comfort for them. Its common to see a chic in F-250 or Ram 2500 lifted with some pink accents on it. A lot of people down south are into outdoor shyt too. Don't front tho, those SVT Raptor truck go hard.

Yea dome trucks aren't bad but seeing women in pickup trucks is funny

fast cars and coupes are dope as hell, but there's just something about driving a massive 5.0+ liter gas-guzzling American Truck around.
