I see what you mean her fans wouid probably turn on her if she lost weight. Was it like this for fat singers back in the day? When luther vandross lost weight what was fan reaction like?

I dunno how people reacted but I doubt anyone claimed Luther sold out by losing weight lol. It was probably more of a normal ass human reaction: "oh wow Luther lost weight, good for him. I need to lose some of this pounds my damn self too." Normal shyt. Whereas today everything gotta be a political campaign with good guys and bad guys.

I think that theres a lot of bullshyt being spewed out there but not enough truth.

Basically Jillian Michaels is miseducating the public as would anybody who works in the fitness industry would. Basically it's her job to say someone like Lizzo is out of shape. That's how she gets paid. Truth be told, you cannot tell how fit someone is just off of looks. Implying that Lizzo is unfit because she's overweight is wrong. Plenty of folks that look physically fit according to fitness industry standards are unhealthy.

But yeah, even though i dont listen to her music or rock with her like that, its good to see Lizzo and other folks who dont fit certain folks standards and illusions while living in their bubbles basically bringing reality to folks.

But even with that, folks gotta watch and pay attention to their health regardless.

Michelle wasn't calling folk out by name.

That dosent mean anything she pretty much quoted the women/men obesity statistics in America I remember it was a hot topic for a little bit . The trainer chick has always talked about health and many other things ....it is what it is . I'm glad for anybody calling this shyt out ....

Keep thinking white women would support a fit & attractive black female rapper. Meg the Stallion puts the fear of God in these women.

Yooo.. I just thought about that. I NEVER hear ww talk about Meg at all. They claim that they support Lizzo because she is about female empowerment(which I can see based on her music) but a similar argument could be made for Meg’s music, but ww aren’t checking for her like that at all.

Cuz Meg can walk in the building and take their man. Lizzo is not a threat. These women want to be entertained without feeling threatened

It’s nice to see ppl of all shapes and sizes getting equal opportunities. She can have a successful career as an artist and be overweight. That’s good to see.

At the same time, there are very real health concerns long term for someone who doesn’t take care of their body that way. This is indisputable. There’s no “perception” issue here, that’s how it works

it 100% makes sense for someone who has made a career out of helping people get in better shape to think this. She’s not wrong either

Very even handed response. I like.
