So I'm sitting back and trying to keep up on world events and the common theme or thread between them all are conflict between man. in almost all continents on this planet, there is a clash between ideals or held views and it almost always turns deadly. people uprising against their governments, their governments are reacting ruthlessly in response. conflict between religious classes, internal conflict within different religions... all in the name of their view of what "God" is or isn't.

What's causing all this shyt? it feels as if things got kicked up in the last year or so and rapidly.
:whoo: wonder what the future going to hold.

our intelligence is an evolutionary accident that is still imperfect, but it's the best we got since it helped us create the scientific method

You think our intelligence is an evolutionary accident? how you figure this?
We are not the only intelligence on this planet, even viruses (which regardless how you want to book-term it, is an alive thing) exhibit intelligence on how to strategically position their 'code' into hosts and propagate.

I don't think 'intelligence' is at all an evolutionary accident, without intelligence geared towards your specific environment, you'd die as a species. now rather or not life came about due to intelligent design[Dictated Creation] or evolution[Randomized Creation].

the black cat is my crown...
because we are and have always been more emotional creations than intellectual creatures... we like to believe our brains win out, but it is mostly our hearts that win...

I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive....They're not on the same spectrum. The spectrums would be intelligent/intellectual to unintelligent/anti intellectual or logical to illogical, while another spectrum would be very emotional to non emotional. In fact, I would guess that higher intelligence on average would have some sort of positive correlation with increased emotion.

I do, because
-observations of intelligent behavior of other species on the mammalian line
-simple errors and glitches in logic I have made often intimate to me the binary "rube goldberg machine" quality of human logic; my two favorite examples
1. the crossover/integration of homo genus's ever present sex and aggression drives, in the framework of our cooperative concepts of love and family. It seems like a form of synesthesia that went over really really well- reproductive competition wise. (don't that seem like weird things to mix up, you can almost behind evolution's curtain)
2. animal infanticide

(given your last posit at the bottom, I advise caution, the above response is a chess not checkers move, consider that before you reply:popcorn3:)

with all due respect, this is too much of a straw-man to count as a rebuttal. There's intelligence and then there is INTELLIGENCE, on any given day human sentience can appear to move up and down the scale from godlike to lower than monkey poo. But we are the only intelligence that threatens to master life creation and intelligence development itself, aka hack and rewrite DNA, the intelligent program nature wrote eons ago.

I don't think 'intelligence' is at all an evolutionary accident, without intelligence geared towards your specific environment, you'd die as a species.
According to available evidence, you have it backwards
VJ6m5yt.jpg
and you are missing few components as well; without imperfect mitosis/meiosis and other genetic dice game mutational mishaps (and perhaps a few environmental lottery wins) you would not have the intelligence accident and then without the proper environmental cauldron, the witches brew would not have evolved to what we see today; an intelligence that turns back and begins to defy environment and guide its own evolution for better or worse, and continues to do so evermore daily.
now rather or not life came about due to intelligent design[Dictated Creation] or evolution[Randomized Creation].
You would have to define "intelligent" as it relates to the category of a designer capable of the diversity of the creations we experience today and propose how they would look differently if there was no such designer. There is plenty of evidence to back the claims of natural selection. So shall we begin this Game of "God of the gaps"? your move.

Have to disagree here. We are fed as a society to react emotionally instead of intellectually. We accept what is given based off those who create an illusion that they are doing it in our best interest.

fair enough... but if we're more intellectual than emotional we could choose to ignore that, right? we don't, because we're more emotional than intellectual.. the powers that be just choose to use our weaknesses against us...

yes and no... what i mean is a person can know they should not overeat and that it is bad for their health and do it anyway because it feels good.... their emotion overrules their intellect... sometimes you're right, emotion and intellect coincide... but at times when they are at odds, our emotions usually win....

You can't ignore emotional tactics used everyday, in every aspect of your life, especially in alot of cases it's used subliminal and subconscious.
