I agree that Republicans are more out of touch, more explicit, and more dangerous in their rhetoric.
I especially agree that Republicans are more willing to alienate entire groups to achieve political support, and thats far more dangerous than anything that Democrats do.
What I meant is that both parties are aware of the game they're playing, and that their public rhetoric is more about ensuring that game continues to be played because it's in their best interest for it to be played.
Ask most Americans if they'd prefer a single party state with their party in power, and I'd guess they'd say yes. You might even.
