The way they put animals on pedastals is mind boggling. I mean, It's one thing to like an animal, it's a completely different thing to start treating them like they aren't animals.

I'm attempting to adopt a few gerbils off craigslist to train some puppies and i'm damn near going on interviews for these things. Mind you, the person is charging money for this so called "adoption". But that's cool, I dont have a problem with that. My problem is that once i agreed to pay, this person then asked me what types of pets I have in my home then asked me to come visit the rodents to play with them and learn their personalities to make sure they are a good fit for me.

It's crazy. Now i got to go to this neanderthals house and play with a got dam mouse to prove I like it.

Why are they like this tho? Is it the cartoons? THe movies? WHat????

People like animals...not really that big of deal
I like animals

But i don't camp in craigslist pet forums flagging people posts all day because I feel that they should be more responsible pet owners and not put them up for adoption, I also don't make people do interviews before they purchase an animal I have for SALE, I don't throw paint on people while they are wearing fur coats cause i feel that mink shouldn't have been killed, I don't bring my dogs to restaurants like their part of the family, I dont let my or strangers dogs lick me in the mouth.....

I could go on but you should get the point enough to think more critically on my point

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2011/12/woman-leaves-13m-fortune-to-pet-cat/

A 4-year-old stray cat that was rescued from the streets of Rome has inherited a $13 million fortune from its owner, the wealthy widow of an Italian property tyc00n.

Maria Assunta left the fortune to her beloved kitty Tommaso when she died two weeks ago at the age of 94. The feline’s newfound riches include cash, as well as properties in Rome, Milan and land in Calabria.

As her health began to fail two years ago, Assunta, who had no children, began to seek out a way to see that Tommaso was properly cared for after she died. In November 2009, she bequeathed her entire estate to the alley cat that she’d rescued.

white ppl will treat animals better than their kids sometimes

no joke
Woman leaves $3 million to her dogs, only $1 million to son
A Miami Beach woman has left millions to her dogs, but her son got just $1 million, and he isn't happy.

Heiress Gail Posner died in March at age 67 of cancer. In a trust written in 2008, she left her multi-million dollar mansion and $3 million dollars to her three dogs --including Conchita, a chihuahua, who with her wigs and diamond jewelry was once promoted as "The World's Most Pampered Dog."

In addition to a mansion and the money for the dogs, the trust also gives another $26 million dollars to Gail Posner's bodyguards, housekeepers, assistants and a personal trainer.

One of those bodyguards gets $10 million dollars. One of the housekeepers taking care of the dogs gets another $5 million.

But Posner's son and only surviving child, Bret Carr, gets just $1 million dollars, with conditions attached... and he is crying foul.

Brett Carr says, "The estate doesn't belong to 9 bodyguards and maids and a trainer who brainwashed my mother and tried to pickpocket her."

In a lawsuit Carr claims his mother suffered from mental disorders, psychosis, paranoid delusions, and bipolarism ... and that her staff convinced her to include them in her will.

Carr says video he shot on his cellphone shows his ailing mother being controlled by others. It appears to show him being told to leave the house by a bodyguard even though his mother agrees she would like him to stay. A man also slaps at the video amera being held by the son.

A lawyer defending the TRUST told NBC News, "As a matter of policy we do not comment on pending litigation other than the claims will be vigorously defended."

A bodyguard at the mansion also wouldn't comment.

An Italian lady has given away all her property worth about 2 million euros($2.5 million) to her beloved dog. The 84-year-old woman, living in Caserta town with her daughter and several grandchildren, has made the will stating her mongrel dog called Kikko will inherit two apartments, several land estates and also bank accounts.
The old woman has decided this soon after her husband's death, according to her lawyer Lucia Esposito who announced the lady's decision on Saturday. She has signed the will with her own hand, Esposito said, adding that her client also consulted with other lawyers who had had the practice of attesting documents like this.

Under the Italian law, bequeathing any property to domestic animals has no legal force. Therefore, people willing to bequeath their property to their beloved cats or dogs must appoint an executor of their will, either a private individual or a public organisation.

The executor is obliged to ensure a worthy life-long existence of the domestic animal after receiving the right of access to all bequeathed valuables. The woman has appointed her lawyer Esposito as the executor of her will.

he’s the Leona Helmsley of the Sunshine State.

Gail Posner, the daughter of infamous corporate-takeover king Victor Posner, has bequeathed her seven-bedroom, $8.3 million Miami mansion and a $3 million trust fund to her overpampered pooches, according to court papers.

The 67-year-old heiress died in March, leaving a will that made her three pets, including a Chihuahua named Conchita — whom she called “one of the world’s most spoiled dogs” — sitting pretty.

Also hitting the jackpot were seven personal aides, including bodyguards and housekeepers, who were given a total of $26 million — and the right to live rent-free in the mansion while caring for the animals, the documents show.

But the will unleashed a lawsuit filed by Gail Posner’s only living son, Hollywood screenwriter Bret Carr, claiming his mom was drugged and “brainwashed” into spending lavishly on the dogs.

Carr alleges that his mother’s personal aides directed the “deeply disturbed” woman to spend excessive amounts of money on the dogs — buying them diamond jewelry and a four-season wardrobe — in a “ruse” to steal the fortune.

The filmmaker, who has only a handful of low-budget credits to his name, said his mom’s workers manipulated a publicity campaign for the dogs in order to justify a huge inheritance over which they’d get control.

In a 2007 interview, Posner said she bought a $15,000 diamond-studded Cartier necklace for Conchita but it didn’t meet the dog’s refined tastes.

“Conchita is the only girl I know who doesn’t consider diamonds her best friend,” she told the Miami Herald.

Last year, Posner said she took Conchita with her on shopping sprees and even considered getting a Range Rover — for the pup.

“Gail had a serious drug problem. She had cancer and suffered from bipolar disorder and she was easily influenced,” Carr’s lawyer, Bruce Katzen, told The Post.

In his lawsuit, Carr said his mom should have left the entire estate to him, since Victor’s will established a trust for his grandkids — which Carr claims Gail raided.

She changed her will in 2008, after she was already dying from cancer, and added the vast sums for her pups and workers.

The bizarre case is reminiscent of “Queen of Mean” Helmsley, who left $12 million to her Maltese, named Trouble, while ignoring two of her grandkids. A judge later knocked that amount down to $2 million.

This isn’t the first scandal for the Posner family. Victor, who died in 2002, pleaded no contest to tax evasion in 1987.

He was subsequently barred from being involved with publicly held companies.
