They did the same shyt with cocaine back in the 1910's too.I wish I still had the article from grad school from like 1913 where they were demonizing black dock workers for smoking marijuana while calling it a calming and soothing substance for white folk. It was straight fear mongering talking about them becoming crazed animalsthat should be feared and that society should think of a federal ban on the drug.

Things haven't that much people if black drug use is still pathologized to this day 100 years later.

Crossing the street, closing car doors, calling the police on "suspicious looking Black males," clutching purses inside of elevators, among countless other examples.
and I liked it that way. I would say they are braver now because these new generation of blacks are as soft as paper, we need to put it on these demons so they know we are not to be messed with.
