I like dogs however they have got to be the filthiest pets you can own. Throw a ball, they chase after it, it's rolled through the dirt and God knows what else is on the ground, bring it back to you in they mouth. I get it, they have no other way to or the thought process of what's dirty or not. I have my reservations on pet "ownership", damn near forced slavery. Make them go get the paper, put them on a leash, make them listen to your commands, scold them when they don't, etc. When they run away it's all kinds of flyers and reward money poured out.

bro relax. First off, you don't have to beat a dog to get it to obey. I've had dogs before, they respond to authority and consistency. Since I'm not tryna be their best friend, it's easier for me to do this than some people. Hence the difference between me and my girl. She makes excuses for her dog and spoils her, I'm not like that.
Secondly, yes there are many anecdotal stories about black folks having a great relationship with a dog. My point was that we look at dogs differently than cacs because of our negative history with them HERE in the US. Of course black people have good history with dogs too. Hell, a large amount of black people own dogs.
You should watch the Blackish episode about dogs. It touches on all of this.
Authority and consistently don’t always work breh. Dogs are individuals, same way some humans just have that extra gear and dont give a fukk, it’s animals like that too. Behavioral Euthanasia is real thing breh, it’s really people out here who put healthy dogs down that they can’t control. I know dogs, grew up with ‘em, always been at least 2 dogs around me too, my people did it when I was a git and I do the same now. I’ve had everything from Afghan Hounds and Wolfhounds to little foo foo dogs and Bully ass Bulldogs and Pits. Some like the smaller dogs and the Wolfhound could be trained in less than a day. The Pits was middle of the road. The Afghan was hard as fukk but they so stupid you gave it a pass. The dog that house trained himself was an English Bulldog, probably one of the hardest dog breeds to train. And he wasn’t neutered on top of it. I dropped BANDS on professional training and that didn’t even work. That fool wasn’t about to be trained, and eventually I let him have it, cuz as a human who has that extra I don’t give a fukk gear, I could respect his spirit and he ended up being the best dog I’ve ever had.
And what’s anecdotal at the end of the day? Some shyt you read or heard about in a book probably written by a cac? Or my grandfather telling me himself that back in those days if you was in a rural area and your family was small, frail, and weak, it was assumed y’all wasn’t eating right, and brehs used to crack on folks who hunted without dogs in his neck of the woods. Cuz that one simple thing was the difference between you and yours eating squirrel or rabbit for dinner vs some pork chops and some venison steak. Clearly white folks have used dogs against us for fukked up reasons, but my grandfather stories ain’t a one off. His perspective was probably not uncommon for that area at that time. Mississippi Delta 75-150 years ago. Which is probably the area of ancestral origin of at least 30% of the Black folks in this country. Like I said it’s safe to say for every fukked up dog story against us in our history it’s one of some dogs holding a family 9 out in the woods down. It’s a 2 way street.
And fukk some TV breh, I don’t need somebody else to tell me about my own culture.

He was generally depicted as a black jackal-headed man, or as a black jackal. The Egyptians would have noticed the jackals prowling around the graveyards, and so the link between the animal and the dead was formed in their minds.
