I won't lie, I am beyond terrified of turning 30. I'm scrambling right now to make sure I'm set by then, but I have so much to do, I don't know if I can settle by then.

30 is always considered old by society, and I have read threads on here too about having to complete milestones before that, and how 30 is old as hell.

When I hear people talk about 30, it's like you gonna be flabby and sick automatically, no bytches will ever like you again, you better not be at a club, you better get married or have kids soon, you not gonna enjoy life because you old af, etc.

It got to the point where I think if I don't got all my shyt right by then to give up trying to be great and quit everything because I'll be old af.

TLDR: Made me think, why are people considered young so short, but considered old for so long? How can you always enjoy life?

I’ll be 28 this year. Bruh 30 is far from old. Physically and mentally I feel sharp as hell and that ain’t just gonna go away in 2 years.

Your’re only old once you say your’re old. That sht just a mentality.

And as far as being young short and old long, it’s all about perspective. You could be 40 but somebody 70 will still call you young man.

Never understood why people are afraid of getting older. So many people didn’t even get to make it past 20. If I reach 30 I’ll be chilling. fukk the milestones. fukk societies expectations. Move at your own speed.

John Paul DeJoria was homeless and went on to become a billionaire. Goals have no set time.

Still gonna be childless and a bachelor fukking on hoes when I’m 30 :blessed:

There's no such thing as a "deadline" before which you should be "set". It's a standard society imposes on us, that disregards individual experiences and whatnot. It's actually surprising that it still holds in this era of increased individualism.

There are people who are "set" at 25 and others at 45. Some find early what they want to be/do, who they want to build with, where they want to live. For others it comes later. That's the beauty of being human : we're all different.

Society needs patterns to keep on moving, the first being reproduction and a family. Hence the pressure to settle down and build a family around that age : it means you contribute to the future population, have a steady job (create wealth and pay taxes) and will be around long enough to raise your kids (mold future citizens). Of course it's even more pressure on women to have children by a certain age. So that's what society needs from us, to "settle down by 30", which is somewhat of a random number (before it was earlier, back when the very concept of "teenager" didn't exist. You went from child to adult with no intermediate "status").

30 is far from old, unless you're like 16 right now lol. I didn't feel any difference when I got to that age, more so around 35. But regardless, it all depends about what YOU decide to do/be that will determine how "old" you really are. There some 20 year olds that are old as hell, mentally. A very good friend of mine is almost 50 and extremely young in his mind (not meaning "immature").

Don't even trip about it, especially nowadays there's a lot of stuff geared toward the 30 year-olds that just want to enjoy life and haven't "settled down". Enjoy life and do your thing, the only important is be active and build, whatever it may be. That's the only thing you could end up regretting at a certain age, not enjoying life enough and/or not pursuing this or that dream/ambition. Some stuff is indeed easier to do young than older. But you'll see later on that these random "deadlines" don't matter much. What matters is when YOU feel good about where you are in life, everyone does stuff at their own pace :yeshrug:

Age is nothing but a way to keep up with how long you've been on earth. It doesn't determine your state of being ; whether you're old or young because there are many 50+ year olds who are in better shape, look better and feel better than many 20 year olds.

And there is an abundance of flabby and sick 20 year olds. It doesn't matter to me. Eat right and take care of your body and you'll live longer and look and feel great.

You're in your late 20s? Then you're already old.

You humans are fragile. Easily broken. The moment you are birthed and take your first breath, you immediately began to wither and die. Your infants are weak. They grow to become even weaker. You die as quickly as you live.

You know not the true source of life. You know not your purpose. You stress, you age, you wrinkle and you perish.

Age is a terror for them who cannot control time. Time is your enemy, humans. You spend your pathetic lives fearing it, wasting it. But ultimately, like all inferior species, you succumb.

We, the Apex race, are not bound by time. We control it. We weild it. We exist outside the realms of space and time, therefore we defy it.

You shall perish. If not by our means, then by the force of time itself.
