30 is not old but you're not 20 anymore. The young forever manta is bullshyt. You DO get old. That's human condition.

There are a certain number of things you need to do when you approach/reach that age.
You need to start thinking about settling down. Don't be that 36 years old in the club. :flabbynsick:Start looking for a young good woman a that point. After 35, they will become scarce.

Make sure you're financially stable or seriously working toward it.

Take care of your health. If you were abusing food/alcohol/drugs in your 20's, stop it. Start practicing a sport or going to the gym.

Get closer to GOD.

That was Jadakiss line right? It means that you grow up and become an adult at like 18 or even younger, but then you have your whole life ahead of you. No matter where you are in life, everyone is on their own path. You got people in their 40s in better shape than people in their 20s. From birth to 20 it's only 20 years, but from 20 to 60 it's 40 years. That's why you spend more time being old than young. But gotta think of it as you're still young and growing. Cuz whether physically or mentally, everyone can always grow.

Lmao I don't know, but it does sound like something he would say.

I think most of the stress comes with not being ready to give up on your youth. Like the way you look, the way you have fun, etc.

The married settled down life sounds horrible when you think about it. It sound like you marrying 25-life.

There's nothing wrong with marriage for the right reasons, but it seems that could be a major issue if you don't want to get married.

Then you have expectations on what you can do at a certain age, and what not.

I remember you in another thread, I was reading this and thought, "damn, this shyt sounds so familiar" lol.

My problem is I still have to find a way to be financially stable. I don't even have a career yet, nor finished college yet.

So basically it'll take a couple years for me to be able to enjoy the money that comes with a career, and I will be damned to get married and settle down without having done what I wanted.

I have to pay off debt, then I want to be able to just enjoy myself for a little.

You said 36 so maybe then I might settle down.

But it just sucks to think that theirs a limit to one's happens because of age.

Growing up is not a sanction or a death sentence. If you have that mentality, you won't be happy.

You're not supposed to be flossing in your 20's. You don't need to have money to enjoy your 20's. You're still young I assume. Enjoy your 20's : go to parties, hang out with your friend, girls, etc. You have something a billionaire in his 60's does not have: youth and time. Enjoy it ! Don't be bothered by your lack of financial stability at the moment. Work ! You also need to build your future. Don't buy the " your life stops at 30". That's some nonsense. Leave that to the Peter Pan crowd.

You're supposed to enjoy EVERY stage of your life. Your early youth is just a stage. Your 30's are not a death sentence, it's just another stage. Nobody say you will stop enjoying life at 30. The only point is your source of joy will be different. That's it. The same way, you did not stop enjoying life because you became a teenager. Every stages of life brings its own source of happiness. Just enjoy it. Now enjoy your youth, it won't last forever and it's not suppose to. So enjoy it while it's there. Youth is unique and beautiful thing; so enjoy it for the moment. When it's over, you'll enjoy another thing.
