- Why are you single
- Don’t bring up another person or society
I'll attempt anyway. Over the past 2-3 years I'm finally doing decent and have that feeling that I've found my place in this world. I'm okay with the hamster wheel I'm running on because I'm seeing the gains. I don't have a fully funded 401k or 6+ month emergency fund that the financial experts suggest, but I have no debt other than my mortgage and am learning new skills on the regular at my main job and outside of work.
Adding a girlfriend/wife in would almost certainly throw my routine off for the worse, financially and timewise. Thats no knock at them, because relationships involve sacrifice. As I get closer to my mid-30's I become even more set in my ways so the value I would expect is higher, the same they would expect from me. Right not that doesn't match up. I'm not picky, just calculated, because I know what does and doesn't work for me.
