No excuses at all bruh just facts, around the time GFID dropped dude was gettin hating on tremendously.
The situation wit gangsters on his heels was just the icing on the cake for the naysayers, everything but his brilliant music was joked upon.
I never could process the hatred he received.

Song was cool but it definitely wasn't a hit. It's a dope album track, that's it.

Ross is struggling right now, none of his songs are doing numbers like they used to. He put out the Jay-z track trying to ride off the hype they had for FWM but failed. Devil is a lie is a dope album track but not good enough for a single. Ross even flopped with Future. He needs to switch it up a lil, I remember when he had dope singles like super high and here I am. Compared to other Hov and Ross tracks, devil is last.
