No it’s not a personal choice. It is a fact that Fox News is opinion. MSNBC is news based. Shep smith would say this about the network while working there.
Why aren't there laws against media blatantly lying?

I thought they followed the Fox formula. Opinion in the early morning, news mid day, opinion at night? I don't have cable though...

MSNBC does the same thing all day. Fox used to have shep smith doing actual news and the idiots at night talking about conspiracy theories and blatant lies.
Wait, there's no midday news on MSNBC anymore? Maddow is definitely opinion.

Rachel Maddow is Opinion. Don Lemon is opinion. All these corporate news channels follow the same script just with slight twists to cater to their viewers. What matters ultimately though is that they all support our foreign policy, are cool with the wars we wage, are anti real progressive politics and ideas.

Show me something with Maddow or lemon reporting on something that is totally false or a complete lie. Maddow and lemon report on stuff that is actual news. Fox News interviewing people that say chit like michelle Obama is a transgender.

As you can see, I didn't claim that Maddow said "a complete lie", but to be clear you're moving the goalpost from opinion to "complete lie".
Still, why doesn't what she said about OAN qualify as a "complete lie"?

i did not see the show where she said what she said about oan. But i would bet she presented some type of evidence or reasoning about the channel when she made that statement. Oan is worse than fox with their bullchit
She didn't give evidence, so you'd lose that bet. The judge concluded that she's not real news, she's exaggeration and opinion.
