Don’t think it’s that black people dont/shouldn’t care about what happens.

It’s just that we don’t feel it’s our fight this time.

We’ve been telling these people this is where the country was heading for decades now.

Like black people cant make your racist uncle quit voting for racism at the detriment of all of us. That’s YOUR uncle, you gotta fix him.

I think you're not understanding what I am actually saying. I'm not arguing that Black people owe anyone anything. I'm saying it's dangerous to let people frame Black folks as being disengaged when we're very much still taking part in these protests. We're just not the "center" of them. And bad-faith actors, people like Phillip Scott, people who support what Trump and ICE are doing, are exploiting that distinction on purpose to launder support for crackdowns and authoritarianism behind fake "pro-Black" cynicism.

We been trying to tell them for decades about everything but it usually went on deaf ears unless some extreme shyt happened (like million man marches, REAL great leaders assassinated, etc).

We done trying to tell people about shyt out here, it’s time for them to see for themselves and I guarantee you have some black activist/professor from the 80’s or some shyt that described exactly what’s happening now.

In fact, there were warnings about Trump and people like him all throughout history and they either forgot or never listened.

Time for them to find out for themselves or put themselves on the line for the country they helped create… time for them to take responsibility for the systems they helped create and supported.

This country was built off of people wanting others to do shyt for them and still is.. time for them to learn to do shyt for themselves, because every time WE have done shyt for this country we got the short end of the stick for our reward. From protesting, activism, politics to military service.

And we still plan on voting when it matters again.. if we can even vote by then. We still on boycotts because that seems to work better than marching. Funny how you bring up the Civil Rights movement, which indirectly made my point. The Civil Rights movement was infiltrated and co-oped by the Cointelpro and other agencies. It turned into a "All minorities and Discrimated" movement. Jews, Gays, Immigrants, Native Americans, White Women, Japanese victims from WW2 internment camps, etc all started to piggy back of a movement started by Black Americans, and clouded the message and results that the Black Americans wanted

Literally the exact same thing happened with Black Lives Matter. Had a real grass roots movement, then co-oped by the Lesbian organization now known as BLM. That is my point. Marches do not do anything outside bring attention with no results. It can be co-oped easily

The only way to end oppression is to embrace Capitalism to be Economically Segregated and to Embrace Gun/Weapon ownership for protection and retaliation of racism

I'd say the Civil Rights movement galvanized people to start and support similar movements. It's not a zero-sum game and I find it inspiring that the CRM was the catalyst that brought social rights for all people: women, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, Asian Americans, and Chicano Americans. It doesn't make any sense for a country to say "all men are created equal" and have only one subset gain rights while not addressing overlapping issues. Not only that, Black people have never been a monolith and no movement to help Black people has ever achieved without addressing intersectionality. You can't be pro-Black and be anti-LGBTQ+, anti-immigrant, and ignore women's issues. It doesn't work that way.

And doubling down on capitalism is not a good way to support Black Ameeicans. Black people benefit the most from social programs that ensure the socioeconomic problems are addressed along with human rights and racial equality.

You reduce Black youth to stereotypes, romanticize white youth like they're all disciplined entrepreneurs, and then pretend that Black people organizing against oppression are just begging for white approval.
