exactly, This money could fund 5 HBCUS, Start Micro Loan programs, buy farm land so we can have farmers markets in the top 5 cities with majority Black Pops, and fund a place of worship in every majority city in America. 15 million people and 10 bucks a sunday is only an under estimate too. And whats sick we STILL have money to trick off on fast food, drugs, jordans, strip clubs, cars, and clothes, so its not even far fetched to ask 15-20 blacks to put 40 bucks a month towards some kind of fund that will benefit everyone.

Breh, if Black people started making moves like that, there'd no longer be a need for the church.

The Black church needs Black people to be fukked up in order to survive. It thrives off Black misery and the need for salvation. A lot of these churches are invested in Black stagnation. With all the money Black people put in collection plates every Sunday, there's no reason why we shouldn't have infrastructure and other Black-owned industries to show for it. We're talking about billions of dollars given to the Black church, annually, with nothing to show for it!

im not gonna front, i hardly ever go to church, but it has nothing to do with pimp preachers (i was raised Anglican/Catholic )

The thing is, why church service has to be early on a Sunday morning? People already struggle working 5 days a week waking up in the dark to work at a job that they hate. Waking up early for a church service that can't be put into action is just dissatisfying to me. There are only a handful of preachers that done the good work and help the black community like a preacher that was in the N.O. who was a former Black Panther that I met.

A lot of people say that, but I don't think so. There are PLENTY of black churches with members who are Middle-class/upper middle class.

Many of these people will continue to go to church due to habit.

From my experience a lot of these sorts of black families stay going to church because they it keeps them linked to the black community as a whole, where they might otherwise find themselves surrounded by white folk.

Morals are one of the major factors that separates us from animals, along with having a more developed conscious. Morals does back to reasoning vs instincts.

people get to lost in their thoughts on deeper meanings too much for me. survival is priority number one and overtime we learned to work together with other people to split up those task and be more efficient.

I have no problem with gays and I'd hope no one seriously does either.

In fact, the moment I really and truly dropped religion I had NO reason I could seriously think if why I disliked gay people. I just had nothing to hold against them

I never understood what was so hard to understand about a lot of people's rejection of homosexuality. It's disgust, people can't control what disgust them.

One thing that people push that is a flat out falsehood is the "Their born like that" narrative, when in reality we don't know why gay people are gay, all the research done on the topic has not produce any solid genetic/biological indicators of homosexuality being a preset. Down the line we may find proof that they are born like that, but right now there isn't anything proving that it isn't another externally stimulated perversion (through things like porn and television) like me liking to nut in a female mouth.

Back to the disgust part, people can't control what disgust them. Mayonnaise disgust more than anything on this earth including homosexuality, if someone intentionally gets mayo on me I'm likely going to whoop them, I avoid mayonnaise in my life and and thoughts because it disgusts me. That's how some people feel about homosexuality and they don't appreciate media and society trying to force something that disgust them into their home and mind-share.

This raises a good point.

Church is quite passive. Sitting in pews listening to a preacher.

If a church wants to bring men back to it, it needs to stress ACTIVITY rather than passivity.

That activity has to be meaningful and have impact.
The church has to bring information that has positive impact on the life of men and solve problems.

If you will note the ministry of Jesus, his ministry was active i.e. healing the sick, spreading the word, etc.

On the other hand, religion is the original and first hustle in history as well as a profit generating institution.

Your first ancient governments were religious institutions whose officers were the priest class.
