So if your good friend told you not to roll with a certain person or group would you still do it? Would you ask why? I can imagine there was more to the convo as to why Biggie told him not to roll with them. Pac was also warned by Mike Tyson not to roll with them too. Is it Tyson's fault too for Pac not listening?
Mike Tyson wasn't rolling blunts and spilling champagne while his boy was getting drilled in the elevator...

If your boy is dealing with a known slut, you will spill all the dirt and give as much information as possible...you are not just going to say "don't date that girl, she has a reputation on the block"...That is not enough...

Especially when you consider the fact that E-40 prevented Biggie and Puffy from getting got in the Bay Area...

However, when you consider the fact that Biggie had NO street credibility, then you can't really blame him for what happened to 2Pac...

But Puffy had street credibility and his father was known street legend, he could have done for 2Pac what E-40 did for him and Biggie...

Has anybody surpassed Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Issac Hayes, James Brown, Otis Redding and etc...?

HELL NO!

Nobody can ever surpass 2Pac Amaru Shakur...An artist can DEFINITELY reach his level, but NOT surpass him..

Breh, im ignoring your opinion based on your screen name alone. Im talkin straight to you and ppl who think like you. Claasic/well known doesn't = greatest

Im a hater by no means, but neither one of them were great enough to still have daily threads being made about them.

Yes, they were the two greatest of their time, but you stuck in the 90s ass nikkas drive me crazy (im a 80s baby and listen to a little bit of everything, btw). All the music over these years and you're trying to tell me that no one has surpassed them musically? I dont care if musical taste is all opinion, :camby:.

Yall do know that you dont HAVE to agree with all "popular" things that ppl say to try to fit in, right? :snoop:
Nobody has surpassed nor matched (or even really come close to) 2Pac in terms of emotion and content.

No fairy tales for this young black male
Some see me stranded in this land of hell, jail, and crack sales
Hustlin' and hardly think of culture
Or the repercussions while bustin' on backstabbin' vultures
Sellin' my soul for material wishes, fast cars and bytches
Wishin' I live my life a legend, immortalized in pictures
Why shed tears? Save your sympathy
My childhood years were spent buryin' my peers in the cemetary
Here's a message to the newborns, waitin' to breathe
If you believe then you can achieve
Just look at me
Against all odds, though life is hard we carry on
Livin' in the projects, broke with no lights on
To all the seeds that follow me
Protect your essence
Born with less, but you still precious
Just smile for me now

The problem with this is everybody assumes Biggie was as aware of exactly what was gonna happen.

To me it's more than likely that BIG might have heard things thru some people but didn't have direct knowledge to what was gonna take place...which is why he just warned him to watch those dudes.

I like both BIG & Pac's music, I'm just always amazed to see just how much people believe their rap persona's. Like BIG was really this huge drug dealer that he would have inside knowledge on attempted robberies. He was a rapper who may or may not have been a low level drug dealer in his younger days. Same goes for Pac he wasn't this "Thug-Life raised me" baby, your man went to a performing arts school and shortly after was a roadie for Digital Underground dancing in his draws (I'm not trying to shyt on him either...RIP). I just feel like Pac involved himself in street shyt he had no business being apart of...he started to believe the hype like he couldn't be touched and that lead to his early demise.
