Why can't Black politics produce a Black version of Zohran Mamdani?

I'm a black progressive 27, with a degree along with a son. What real experience do I lack?

I disagree. I think social democracy or compassionate capitalism are both reasonable and attainable. In terms of how African used to operate it's the closest thing to communalism.

What all of those economic models require is a shared sense of community and proper distribution of tax revenue and government resources. At least enough to make and keep it viable and sustainable.

My guess would be because true black progressives are super pro black (and probably anti Israel, tell the truth about white supremacy, etc)
so they get undermined by the democratic establishment and peter out before becoming anything on the national level

They can make noise probably on the local level, especially as a mayor but a lot of them have to deal with Democratic primaries that are stacked against them in the same way Mamdani did

No one shytted on the U.S.

Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, and Greenland are all very capitalist, successful countries. And social democracy is why they are so successful.

Recognizing the game is rigged is not thinking you can't compete with other people.

We can get it right, if we stop trying to fit a square in a round hole.
