The irony is the same gentrifers voting for him will be eventually outpriced of nyc from their own gentrifier lifestyle shyt as well AND NOT SPEAKING UP ABOUT IT. Its already happening. Most of them CANNOT afford the shyt they keep parading around but fronting like they do as if theyre being cute. Ego and insecurity is a motherfukker but thats what a lot of these folks are like because thats the places that they come from-fake shyt. Wait until a few years and you gonna really see some shyt. That wealth is going to dry the fukk up whether that inheritance, parents no longer funding their lifestyle or whatever. People trying to keep up with intentionally unaffordable lifestyles set up by these corporations designed to make people poor and its these fools insecure and ego driven are the ones doing that shyt.

NYC will implode within 5 years. It will only take that long because it's easier for them to get budgets approved and funding, even when they fukk up when in comparison to other cities.

Things will get way worse before they improve under Trump.
He's creating a situation by design where the wealthy will acquire everything from the middle class and poor in a fire sale when the smoke clears.

And a lot of these gentrifers are going to be in for it. Most of them are middle class, far from millionaires but yet like the suburbs, folks are faking it trying to keep up with that overpriced bullshyt. That reality check is about to be :picard: the illusion they are pushing is about to be shattered

Renee Collymore says she has watched her Brooklyn neighborhood of Clinton Hill transform from a middle-class enclave for Black homeowners to a casualty of the crack epidemic to one of the borough's most desirable places to live.

She is a dying breed of political leader in this racially diverse and liberal neighborhood: a Black moderate Democrat who despises Zohran Mamdani and everything he represents. That includes his membership in the Democratic Socialists of America (“the far left”), his proposal for free buses (“there’s no free anything”) and even bike lanes (a symbol of “privilege”).

“Gentrification has torn this community apart,” said Collymore, who served as a district leader.

Some Black voters in the city are confronting a new political calculus in this year’s mayoral race. Mamdani, a 34-year-old state assemblymember from Queens, defied conventional political wisdom by winning the Democratic primary without a Black majority. He did so by running up the score in gentrified neighborhoods where liberal white voters have displaced older Black residents. Mamdani won over 60% of the primary vote in parts of Clinton Hill.

A lot of people from that region (especially Arabs) associate their perceived closeness to whiteness with power and superiority, so it is no surprise that they don’t identify with a candidate who is the opposite of that.

Many of them are also slum lords and tax cheats, so it is also no surprise they are not fans of Mamdani.
