add lion king in there too
soul was the biggest gotcha I've seen in awhile though.
not only does the black character turn into that thing but then
then the whole time people were praising this movie for adding the cookie tin and Erykah Badu 
symbols are more important than subtext it seems

Fun fact both the Princess and the frog and Soul are Disney’s highest grossing animated films..

princess and the frog bombed which they credit to avatar releasing the week after(
) they also had too much pressure on this film. they wanted it to save the hand drawn animation films so they literally bet it on black but not too black as you can see.princess and the frog though is a huge merchandise thing. which shows black girls love seeing themselves in Tiana. and why they're making a show for her now
and soul was released on Disney + so it didn't have box office but there was a surge in memberships when it came out
notice though that they release tangled as the next princess film right after this came out and it was a success
