I feel the TS, it's like these clubs stopped refreshing their playlists after 2004. Most of my friends are casual hiphop fans, or do not regularly listen to hiphop. But also want to hear some new songs. When WTT just dropped they wanted to hear NIP and Who gon stop me. I mean if they want to, why don't these clubs supply them?

Im so sick of hearing I just wanna love you, Fat man scoop interlude with faith, Dmx, Etc. Time to kill those records sorry. We live in a digital age. I want to hear all the latest shyt. Ciara body parts to Meek mill levels to fab when i feel like it, future chosen one, tom ford, weeknd, etc....#New Rules...

I Want to hear album cuts. We live in the digital age everybody heard Tom ford and fukkwithme, send it up, im in it, blood on the leaves, she knows, sunshine, etc

Play this

those are not club records

but then again DJs should be able to play a varity of records insteads of 90s 00s current club music

most DJs are not playing album tracks, if there is not even a video for the song, the DJ might not know

there also has to be a catchy, likability to the song

There is no thing such as a club song. Any song can be a club song

Well there is. More so in hip-hop, there is a type of song that gets likely to be played at a hip-hop club than not. If not, all types of
music would be played at clubs. Generally, the single would get played at club. They are called club bangers and marketed to radio and DJ in a record pools for terrestrial, satellite, and club plays.

:childplease: So Dead Presidents can be a club song? Locked Up? All Falls Down?
Yes and they have been played in the club before. nikka life existed before down south music in the club. Nas got played in the clubs. You think songs talking about ass and money are club songs. I have been clubbing since I was 17. 2001 was a great year. Black album was played in the club. All the songs

Very few popular clubs if any plays non-club music or non hip-hop charting music, especially when it comes to hip-hop club music.

ABout the complaints about some songs still played in the CLUB .. not ALL hits are cross generational ...

meaning if im djing a party where i know i might have ppl 30+ and 21+ in the same building. I need to play songs that both can connect with. I cant play songs for one crowd then the other. cuz i wont have the whole place bumpin.

SOngs like jay-z "I just wanna love you" no matter what age u are unless u are 50 + ... if you are 21 + u konw that song.

a song like "SHow out" which was a major hit a few years ago .. not so much...

a song like "back that ass up" is a classic. no matter what age u will feel it. a song like "make it nasty" not as much.
