The teams that could use a player like him don't really have space next summer, the teams with the most space will be Sixers, Lakers, Hawks, Bulls and Mavs.
The Bulls are penny pinchers, the Sixers don't want him, the Lakers are aiming higher, the Mavs will lowball him and that leaves the Hawks as the only real landing spot. If there's no market for him they can offer him even less than before and get him for less than he's worth.
