If the villain wins, it leaves viewers feeling like "well...........that was a waste of time"
It's difficult to have the hero lose and keep the viewers coming back, it takes dynamic characters and great writers...
that shyt must be 5+ hours longYeah, the director's/ultimate cut are piff. Theatrical version is missing too much important shyt.
...idk if i can sit thru that
Yeah I can see the ultimate cut being too long. But uh the director's cut is just over 3 hours I recommend that to to uninitiated.that shyt must be 5+ hours long...idk if i can sit thru that

So you've never seen American psycho or the usual suspects or memento or seven or empire strikes back or godfather 2 or no country for old menI mean honestly most of these writers out here don't have the balls to write a piece of mainstream media work where the villain outright wins. not like some moral victory or a half win but a full blown they accomplished their plan and lived happily ever after while the protagonist or heroes lost.
honestly i wanna see this taboo broken but then it'll probably become as cliche as the bittersweet ending where the protagonist dies.
i know a story where the villain outright wins will piss off the audience but this needs to start happening. especially in this new era of villain protagonist.

Is that the kind of culture you want to see, friend, where evil triumphs over good? Where evil is seen as the new good because of the values of demonic filth, money, greed, etc. I dont think you really want that. We're at the border of that now with this disgusting rap trash that demons glorify. Thats what happens when villains win friend and we dont want that.I mean honestly most of these writers out here don't have the balls to write a piece of mainstream media work where the villain outright wins. not like some moral victory or a half win but a full blown they accomplished their plan and lived happily ever after while the protagonist or heroes lost.
