Truth be told, he's on Atlantic.

What they do up there, is force their artists to record songs that were pre-recorded and referenced by other writers. People the label sees as "hit-makers". It's what Lupe was complaining about years ago. You can't get a deal there, unless you're okay with using these pre-made songs. They tried to give Lupe that "Airplanes" joint, and "Nothin' On You". He wanted to write his own songs from top to bottom. So he didn't fukk with them. B.o.B took them, and they ended up being hits for him. Atlantic's whole "urban" department is run on material written by unknown writers who shoot for radio. You're not gonna sign there and make the album you want. Kallman ain't having that.
