He hasn't had an elite season since 2011, and it wasn't a bad season, it was an atrocious season, especially for a "Top 5 QB"

Carolina gonna take a step back this season 
They lost their entire secondary, their star d lineman will be suspended at least half the year. One of their top offensive lineman retired. They have an enormous amount of money tied up in two under performing running backs (a position you should not be paying a premium for ) and to top it all off they have one the most receiving core I ever seen.
They probably going to finish around 8-8 and not make the playoffs. Hopefully they can sign their studs to long contracts, get rid of the benson dead money and those rb contracts and start building with this young core they got
